A belated Happy Birthday to you Berx!

Luke: Wow...he must have been consumed by the evil over a long period of time then... Obi-Wan: Well no, not really. Seriously, one minute he was all like "Oh Hello Obi-Wan old chum! What new adventures shall we have today?" Next he was killing babies...

Wow, it's suddenly quiet around here... Last couple weeks have been...
a lot less active.
Was everyone posting here because there was nothing new on TV?

Ah, posting more stuff up on eBay. Things I don't need that are cluttering up my life. Many of them purchased for me by my soon-to-be-exwife.
Oh yeah, there is some SW stuff too. I won't post links, because that would be solicitation. One thing I did list is a complete set of Champions of the Force minis... Bunch of Hawaiian shirts... random toys... and still lots more stuff to go as I get around to it.
Still feeling good about the D, though someone else has been less enthusiastic.

Yesterday I became a Microsoft Certified Application Specialist (w00t!). First rung on the ladder towards more MS qualifications. Wish I started down this path sooner though, but hey!

I'd be happy to give you copies of the books you'd need, but they're all at least 5 years out of date...

I got my revenge! At last...
OK, if you aren't on the National "Do Not Call" list in the US, one of the businesses that calls has an automated dailer & message that runs something like "Hello, we're calling to inform you that the warenty on your car is about to expire. If you'd like to talk to one of our representatives about extended waranties to protech you, your family, and your investment, press 1 now..."
They don't just call me at home, but on my cell as well.
I find this particularly annoying, as telemarketers are below even politicians in the scum food chain. (worse still are telemarketers FOR politicians).
I told them repeatedly to stop calling.
I told them that I do not own a car, so how can I be out of waranty?
None of it worked.
Meanwhile, they're burning up my cell phone minutes.
Enough was enough.
They called again last night (hadn't heard from them in over a week, so I though the problem was finally handled). In my worst, most ham-handed Italian mobster accent:
Them: "Hello, can I please have the make, model, and year of your car?"
Me: "Why-ah you-ah calling me, eh? How-ah you get dis number?"
Them: "The computer had your number, sir."
Me: "An which car you wanna know about? I have five that I drive, plus da ones when I'm on business."
"Wow. Um, well, why don't you start with one and we'll see if we can't help you, sir"
"Tony. Tony Vincettie. Now, first I have da 1967 Ferrarri convertable. I use that to show I still got it, you know what I mean. My numba three girl izza blonde. She like to give me <censored for family forum> while I drive that. Then I gotta new Vookswagon last year. Is sissy car, but izza good for finding new girls. You lika girls?
"Um, well, I don't have anything for the Ferrari, sir. Sounds like you just bought the last one."
"Yeah, my cousin, he got me a good deal. You gotta any family?"
"Sure."
"Good. Good. Family is good business. You know-ah what I mean?"
"Uh, I think so. About those other cars..."
I went on like this for about 15 minutes. I'm not sure if you knew I was pulling his leg or if he thought I was some mob don. Finally I asked about a 2004 cadilac (the first car he might have actually been able to do anything with), but then said cousin vitto had better rates, but thank for trying.
Yes, it's petty and stupid. But I got to have some fun at least partially at their expense.
