Yes, it is sad that the minis have replaced the sourcebooks, but what are you going to do? So why want talk about what minis you hope will apear down the line:

I'm pretty sure we'll be getting a lot of KotOR and NJO figures in the next expansion, Champions of the Force. Rumor has it that a Republic Commando will be in this set (or maybe the next one.)
After that, its scum and villainy with Bounty Hunters. Which has Nym, so I'm happy.  I'd think there would be some Mandos in this set...
And then there's the starships game. Who know's what that'll be like.

People who play the game, obvisouly.
BTW-isn't weird they are sticking the new hidges inside the Scum and villany set? There aren't a lot of veichles assocaited with the fringe. The only ones I can think of are the Death Watch tank and apc, even those are very obscure.
Also, I hope the Freerunner and Tie crawler become hudge minis eventualy.

Man, if I had my wish, I'd like to see at least one mini for every alien entry.
I have a campaign going now where the xexto is represented by the lego version from the podracers...
And I want a cerean without a lightsaber!

well i have a question! what the heck happened to the RPG? why would they replace minis with the all to lovable RPG? hmmmm?!
but i guess the swrpg rarely did well in stores, and found too few recruits in the "next generation" after WEG was squashed by Wizards

Just upping this one. I've been playing alot since I got back.
Thrawn is deadly.
Kyle Katarn, I quite like but many don't. People I think forget it's Jedi Knight Kyle, so he doesn't have the flashy double attack of a post-prequel game Kyle; he's just awesome at taking out stormtroopers and cheap fringe units.
I'd like to see a more powerful Jedi Kyle, but I'd mostly love to see a General Bel Iblis to counter Thrawn. The New Republic Troops are an improvement over their Rebel counterparts, but 10HP is still low for 10pts. If some better NR troops came with Garm Bel Iblis, and he was someone who wasn't better than Thrawn but able to almost match him, I'd be happy.

Yes and no.
Think about it; Exar Kun isn't going to be defeated easily. You'll invest alot in bringing him down, which may include Force Point expenditure to reroll missed attacks.
Still, if you stockpile some of a force renewel character's force points, you should be able to offset losses there too. If, say, Luke Jedi Master has 8 FP by the time Exar Kun dies, he can simply use his renewel to offset his losses.
