Have you guys seen the preview figs yet? The RC Training Sergent is making me really nervous. The Republic Commandos really don't need the boost, they are pretty powerful already.

Yeah, really. Shields 20 on all of them, Grenades 30 on Scorch, +6atk and +10dmg for combining fire... If you stuck Bacara in for Super Stealth, that's almost impossible to stop!
Ideally:
The whole team camps near enough to the center to prevent the opponent from getting centerpoints, Fixer can open a door for Sev, who shoots with Deadeye and a couple figs combine fire, that's 50 damage with a +21 attack, and you can attack any character you see?!?! AND Boss gives you more shots?!?!
Tough.

Yeah, I saw that too and I agree - it does make me VERY nervous. Nervous enough that I think the Commando Squad might be the best army to play in the game, without question.
I guess we'll have to see what else comes out, but that's a HUGE boost

If the mando figures get more uniques and Commander Effects, Mandos could also become very playable...

Hopefully Boba will give them a good boost. Ordo would be a fun piece to pull in a booster draft, but without commanders, he's kinda crappy.

At least it can be nerfed. There are a couple (3?) characters with force sense, Ackbar's "It's a trap" and disrupters. The shields are going to be tough to get around though. One of my favorite ways to deal with super troopers (more boom/auto damage) won't even work here. I really hope we get some new abilities that can deal with this and I hope that they misprinted the one special ability and it should be a commander effect instead.

I'm thinking of collecting these miniatures. The characters I really want are Leia (slave outfit if possible), Jabba, Chewie, Luke, Han, Vader, and Old Ben Kenobi. Is there a certain set these are in? No gaming stores in my area sell singles so I need to get them from boxes.

Rebel Storm will have all of those. Try Ebay or Miniature Market for online sellers of singles. That'll be a lot cheaper than buying individual boosters looking for only a few pieces.

Thanks. I may end up playing the game anyway, but right now I want some pieces as collectibles. I do the same for The Lord of the Rings miniatures that you assemble and paint.

Here's a question: I have a complete set of Aliance & Empire figs, but missing 2 cards (57 & 58--yuzzam Vong something or other). How much of a deterant would that be? I got the figures because I thought they were interesting, then my wife went hog-wild buying up all the ones I didn't have. (Don't ask the logic--not sure there is any).
Is the fact that those two cards are missing a huge deal?

I'm not a collector, so I wouldn't know for sure, but if you do need to get a hold of the cards, some online places sell just the cards or figures. You could try just searching on eBay.
