Here's a question: I have a complete set of Aliance & Empire figs, but missing 2 cards (57 & 58--yuzzam Vong something or other). How much of a deterant would that be? I got the figures because I thought they were interesting, then my wife went hog-wild buying up all the ones I didn't have. (Don't ask the logic--not sure there is any).
Is the fact that those two cards are missing a huge deal?
Drop hothie a PM about that. He has a ton of "orphan cards" and there's a good chance he either has the two you need or can find them for you (no charge if we have them). I know the cards are around the house somewhere, but I don't want to go digging. Honestly, if you have all the other cards and the two that are missing are commons or uncommons, it's not going to be a big deal.

Unfortunately I don't have those cards. If you sell the set, make absolutely sure you note that those 2 specific cards are missing. It will devalue the set some, as it is not "complete." Hope you find them!

I didn't care about the cards at all. My wife bought them (probablly on eBay). I think one's a Rare, and the other a "Very Rare", otherwise both just "rare"s.
?
Yeah, I could probablly just buy them, but buying something just to turn around & sell it again seems a little silly.

well, 57 in the set is Wicket, and 58 is the Yuuzhan Vong Advance Officer. Wicket is a rare, AAO is an uncommon. The wicket card will matter is you're trying to sell the set.

Looks like I pretty much have everything on his trade list there, unfortunately. I really am looking heavily for any of the ultra rares from this set that I'm missing, but if you can track down an Ayy Vida (BH) or an Ozzel (FU) and pack them in with that Deliah Blue, I'd take that trade (they're the only regular rares I'm still missing).
Here are the UR's that I'm looking for from old sets:

Anyone had a chance to play with the new figs yet? I've only had time to do a booster draft and am anxious to actually try them out in a real game. So far Han, GH has been in all my new NR squads but one. Damn, he looks like a nice piece.

Seriously though I haven't even had a chance to pick up 1 booster yet.
There's a toy and comic show on the 20th, so I'm hoping to pick up a couple boosters cheap, unless I find someone who wants to go in on ordering a case with me. That's the only way I can keep up with this hobby anymore.

It is a really expensive hobby, and it gets worse every set. We got off cheaper this year because we bought someone else's collection pretty cheap and traded that in for a case and a half.

Compared to most miniature games, though, this game is actually really cheap. Warhammer, for example, is like around $10 for a single, not rare, unpainted and unassembled figure. Compared even to some card games like Magic, we get off pretty easy. For what we get, even if you don't play the game, I'd say you get your money's worth.
On another note, I played a squad recently that was Emp Palpatine, Emp Roan Fel, Antares Draco, and some Imp Knights, and it did really well. Roan is especially nasty, with a possible Triple Attack for 90 damage with 20 attack! (base 12 + Opportunist + Synergy) And he has It's A Trap!, Block, and the adjacent Bodyguard thing is REALLY helpful!

I've only played in the release booster draft so far myself, but may give some armies a shot this weekend. I do dig the Han, GH for sure - I'm liking New Republic more and more. Also, I do want to put together an Imp Knights squad just because I'm fanboy crazy for them. Glad to hear it works out pretty well.
