What rules do you use to change d6 sistem characters into d20 sistem?
I tried with a simple rule of three and it didn´t work.I took Vader and yoda like 20th level, calculated skill points and applied this to the rest of my pc,s.And it was a chaos.I mean, they were too powerful. I tried to do it also with Dark Strayder campaing characters and their levels were absolutly hight (ejemplo:Bophar Tofarain 16th level).

I think that there's a conversion guide in the original Core Rulebook. I don't know how good it is, however, due to the fact that so far I've only been a d20 player.

Well, you could look at, for example, the d6 stats for Vader and the d20 stats for Vader and compare the 2. Do that with 3 or 4 characters, see roughly what was done to get a range. It's probablly a bit harder than that, but just a suggestion.

OK here is the conversion doc for the old core rules. The new core rules aren't that different. I think the best thing that you could do would be to look at the online previews of the core rule book and take a look at the revised classes and stuff like. I'm sure some one here can be of help to you, unfortunitely i'm not that person since i've only been around for the rcr.

I often just don't.
Your average starting WEG character is close to L6 in d20.
If you're playing Jedi, use WOTC, otherwise use WEG and guesswork.

This is what I did.And it was a chaos.I took Yoda,Vader and Boba Fett and gave them level 20th.When I made the conversion to d20 from Dark Stryde Campaing the main crew average level was 15th.To high indeed!!!!

Actually,not that much.
The main crew is extremely experienced, far beyond the level that most of my group's characters have achieved in 2 years of gaming.
Even secondary Darkstryder campaign characters are pretty tough, advanced characters.
So, yeah, I could see the primary characters being anywhere from 12-15th level, and secondary being 8-12.
Now, nothing says you are required to use those stats... Feel free to change what you don't like.

i saw one conversion idea that basically said for Force skills that for each d6 'pip', give your character 1 rank in that skill. That was freakin mad, and a character with 4D in sense, as well as the combat sense power, would receive 16 ranks in Battlemind.
Which sounds a bit weird to me.

Fortunately, there's only one force-sensative character in Darkstryder, so you don't have to convert force powers.
Just did a quick count on Kaiya Adreimetrum, one of the Sr characters.
She had 435 skillpoints invested in her skills! And that's not even counting or considering the ones she used along the way to save her posterior from getting roasted.
Even the player characters in our group who have been used on a weekly basis over a year of gaming have never had more than 200! And if they get killed, we have a house rule that the replacement start off with only a 20% penalty, though the first one is free. (If you had 100 SP invested in skills, your replacement starts with 80).
Gorak Khazam has 541 skill points invested in him!
Jessa Dajus has 599 skill points invested in her.
Yoda has 1663 skill points invested. (assuming he has a Mentor to teach him all the way up to 14, 12, and 10D)
So, take confidence in your lvl 15 conversion. It's pretty close to accurate! Scale down 3-5 levels and you should be good.

Thank you very much
At the end someone told me about a page called The Forgotten Tales which is pretty good,I believe, despite the pc´s levels are quite lower that we reckoned from the d6 system.
But I think, anyway, that it´ll be easier to manage for my campaing.
Thank you very much anyway

Long ago, my campaign started off in D6. When the D20 game came out, the group decided to switch systems. So there were conversions of the existing characters using the rules in the original D20 core rulebook. It didn't work out quite as well as hoped... mostly, there weren't a lot of problems, but some of the Jedi characters ended up a little wonky and overpowered (mostly through having a few more feats than characters of their level should have had). Admittedly, it was probably my fault--I could have been more strict in interpreting the conversion.
