	I have a dispute to settle here. My group is trying to decide wether or not a blaster pistol shot provokes an attack of oppertunity when they are square to square to a character who has a melee weapon. Please assist me in this problem.

	Only if they miss. Play it like the Sarlacc scene in RotJ, when the goon shot Luke's hand on the sail barge. He was close to Luke and shot a bit wildly opening himself up for Luke's melee attack.

	If memory serves, you only provoke an OoP from an adjacent foe when using a two-handed ranged weapon, like a blaster rifle. One-handed weapons like pistols are fine. -----signature----- Striking down can result in common side effects including fear, anger, aggresion, nausea, dry mouth, hatred, suffering, headaches, IBS, & in some extreme cases has been linked to lava burns Please consult your doctor before striking anyone down
