Limit the group to, say, 4 people max?

I'd say four if we're looking to get three games going, six if we're going to consolidate with just the two.
When it comes to continuity I'm a continuity whore. I'll do hours of research for a single session just to make sure I don't screw up something too big in-universe.
Since I want to see how Saga works from the other side of the table (Koohii, I'd still love to do a D6 game sometime), I'll put my name in for the d20 game. I'm thinking maybe a noble type character with some kind of drug addiction?

Well, at the momment there's a 3-way tie for era.
When the poll expires, I'll put up an into post with rules summary and background info, and begin soliciting characters.
I will, naturally, help anyone who needs it with character creation.

I really feel people should be playing in systems they know the rules for. It makes it easier so there's no lengthy points explaining the rules, and then followups to questions etc.
I mean, "keep it simple"?

yes but 2 things....
1. i know the revised D20 practically all the way through and i dont know muych about the saga one.
2 i have been wanting to learn D6 for forever and this is my chance (besides i count koohii as the best friend i hav never actually met... LOL )
so yea ill stay d6 unless koohii asks me to leave.
P.S. though i do see your point

Once you start down the d6 path, forever will it dominate your destiny....
Seriously though, compared to d20, it is more 'linear' i guess. More straightforward in that you don't need to note down your saves and defense and every little skill modifier. Any character can acheive anything if the wild die is willing 
Sorry... trying not to turn this into a d20 versus d6 thread!
Once the era is decided i'll knock a character up in no time
