I've never played any RPG before, though I have read sourcebooks and have a grasp on the general mechanics. I don't know if that's a problem. Anyway, if not:

Jello, the mechanics are different from RPF so chances of playing an Imperial and squaring off against the Rebel players = zero. It's like KOTOR, you're in a party that works together.

Oh, I have options. In lieu of an Imperial campaign (sad) then I could play a snooty noble who is either a Rebel sympathizer (senatorial privilege and all), a Republic supporter in the Clone Wars, or someone who is just an ex-Imperial for whatever reason after Endor.

Well, that's different. 
I meant, it's unlike the RPG where you can be against each other. And it's very much a minimalist setting. Just FYI...
GMs, now that you're VIPs you're easily identifiable - can you tell us what era you'll run and we'll start assiging players. I won't limit it personally but I would strongly recommend that you set a limit of players you're happy to work with.

As soon as we GMs have a consensus as to what eras we're running in I'll have a synopsis up for my SAGA game and a player sign up. At that point in time, depending on the amount of players, the cap will be five.

I have to say if someone were interested in running a near-Legacy era Imperials game that would be awesome. I'd love to try and flesh out the house rules for the Imperial Knights.
