Star Wars: Tendrils of Chaos

Beginning in the week immediately following the Battle of Geonosis, Tendrils of Chaos focuses primarily on the industrial world of Druckenwell and the surrounding system.

A long, long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

Located on the Hydrian Way hyperspace route Druckenwell is the gateway to Mid- and Outer Rim worlds such as Falleen, Ando, Tatooine, Geonosis and Ryloth. Covered almost entirely by ocean, what little land mass Druckenwell has is almost entirely industrialized, life on the planet controlled by the corporate elite. Due to the planet’s production capacities and strategic location both the Republic and Confederacy have taken a keen interest in Druckenwell. However, things on Druckenwell are such that neither the Republic nor the Confederacy in held in good standing with the populace.

Ten years before, during the same time frame as the invasion of Naboo, Druckenwell also experienced hardships at the hands of the Trade Federation. For years the industrial elite relied heavily on Trade Federation's vast fleet to ship various ores mined from the world’s ocean offworld. When the Republic imposed a shipping tax on such operations the blockade and subsequent invasion of Naboo was not the only such act of protest.

On Druckenwell the Trade Federation downloaded this increase in costs onto the corporations. While the vast wealth of the elite allowed them to weather the increase expenditure many of the small operations could not. Millions were put out of work. Eventually even the elite began succumbed to the financial pressure, shutting down large portions of their operations. By the time the tariffs were lifted nearly a third of the planet’s population was out of work.

The Trade Federation took further advantage of the situation by buying up nearly all of the smaller industries, eventually owning nearly twenty per cent of the entire planets ore mining and processing operations as well as fifteen per cent of the planet’s total production capacity. It was only when the charges were brought against the Trade Federation for the illegal actions taken against Naboo the Druckenwell finally experienced some respite.

The Government of Druckenwell and those remaining of the corporate elite launched a joint suit against the Trade Federation in the months that followed. This was successful only in the fact that the Government was able to collect some damages in order to help those people who had been put out of work. However, as the Trade Federation had purchased the operations legally there was nothing the Republic could do to return the operations to those who had owned them previously and thus keeping hundred of millions of people out of work.

Things only worsened for Druckenwell. With the Trade Federation using fully automated facilities and workers the remaining elite were hard pressed to match costs. Eventually, against their wishes, many of the elite slowly began automating their operations in a last ditch effort to remain competitive. This resulted in another massive wave of layoffs resulting in nearly half the planets population being unemployed. Generation old tensions between the improvised workers and the wealthy elite reached an all time high.

Protests and demonstrations soon began against the Republic, the elite and the Trade Federation taking little time to turn violent. A group emerged calling themselves the People's War who took it upon themselves to seek retribution for the downtrodden working class giving them both a voice and a way to fight against the injustices done to them by the powers that be.

The planetary government, watching as the world became enveloped by civil strife, petitioned the Senate to intervene and help restore order. This request went largely unnoticed. An envoy consisting of Republic diplomats and Jedi was sent to the planet but the backing and support of the Senate they could do little to help ease the tensions.

Faced with watching their planet succumb to civil war or finding external help the government reluctantly accepted help from the Trade Federation. Although having had to dismantle a large portion of their armies after the events on Naboo the Trade Federation still maintained a large force on Druckenwell in order to protect their facilities.

Eventually the Republic slowly began to take an interest in Druckenwell, though only the Jedi returned to Coruscant and petitioned the Senate in person. A round of negotiations were established but after months of talk little was accomplished other than the Republic offering more financial aid to the Government. For most this was not enough.

The People's War withdrew form the talks, feeling betrayed by the Republic for its seeming indifference to the people's plight and by the Jedi who had promised action. Taking matters once more into their own hands they planned on sending a message to the Republic by blow up several of the Trade Federation's massive shipping freighters.

The plan was to smuggle explosives aboard several of the ships and then remote detonate them once they were in space. They nearly succeeded, only the timely intervention of the Jedi in charge of the Republic's envoy, the diminutive Aleena Jedi Master Chadda Nebet, preventing the large majority of explosives from reaching their intended targets. However, this intervention came at a very high price.

Nebet's padawan, the rash Kel Dor named Dom Nem, decided to take justice into her own hands. Dismayed with the Republic's lack of action and the failure of the Jedi to ease the plight of Druckenwell's people, she abandoned her Master, going so far as to assisted a small number of People's War escape Nebet along with a small amount of explosives. The young Padawan went even further, helping to smuggle the explosives aboard one of the freighters and help set them.

However things went wrong and the explosives detonated early. Dom Nem was presumed killed in the resulting explosion. This act only furthered the Trade Federation's justification for its need to protect itself and, by government request, the rest of the planet for such acts of terrorism.

Due to Nom's actions the Jedi image became tarnished, the talks all but breaking down. The People's War continued making attacks against the Republic and Trade Federation but these attacks dwindled in numbers leading up the Battle of Geonosis and the birth of the Clone Wars.

With the emergence of a new conflict Druckenwell has, ironically, become very important in they eyes of the Senate. With huge amounts of resentment existing between the populace and the Republic many fear that Druckenwell might as well be given to the Separatists along with a huge supply of ship building material. But the Separatists are loved just as much as the Senate, the resentment of the Trade Federation being carried over onto them. For the people of Druckenwell the war offers a chance for the working class being to take what is rightfully theirs even as the privileged few seek to make back their fortunes...

IMPORTANT!

Please PM me your character concepts BEFORE you post in this thread. Since we only have one thread instead of an entire forum, I'd like to keep things as clean as possible. When this thread is open for posting I'll let you know. wink

The player cap is six so if you're interested let me know ASAP. As soon as the six spots are filled the dice will be rolling. grin

Druckenwell - Planetary Parliament Buildings

Standing tensely next to the transparisteel window, arms held firmly against the small of his back, Micambertoris gazed wearily out over the waters of Garko Bay as waves lapped lazily against shoreline as the morning sun gently warned the bay’s sandy beaches. If his mind had been less cluttered by the numerous apprehensions and foreboding that hounded his thoughts, the Frozian mused that it easily could have been a pleasant day, one where the thought of the entire planet erupting any minute into utter chaos was completely laughable.

Yet as the planetary governor stood silently in the morning light he was all too aware that even here in Il Avali, Druckenwell’s capital, not only was the situation ready to boil over at any moment into widespread rioting and bloodshed, but the entire galaxy had apparently decided to tear itself apart as well.

With a weary sigh Micambertoris turned away from the window and glanced down at the chronometer sitting on his desk. The Republic delegation would be landing any minute now. With the current state of affairs there was no time to waste keeping them waiting. Giving the green aeien silk robes he was wearing one final brush, Micambertoris inhaled deeply breath before stepping out of his office and heading for the landing pad.

OOC:

This was supposed to be part of a longer post but I figured given that the game was supposed to be up and running two days ago I'd give you at least some little something to get your mouths watering at the prospect of actually being able to post yourselves. After Part II, which will be up before I go under the knife on Friday to get my wisdom teeth out, you'll be in position to put up an introductory post for your character.

Now seeing as I haven't put up any standard posting conventions as of you for this RPG some of you may have be wondering what exact format to follow. I'm not a stickler when it comes to posting style so long as its easy for both myself and the other players to distinguish what content is in character (IC) and what's out of character (OOC). I'll include an example post along with Part II of the introduction tomorrow.

Thanks for the patients guys. wink

Druckenwell - Republic LAAT/i Gunship Chariot 1 in Atmo over Il Avali

High above the watery surface of Druckenwell three Republic gunships descended rapidly through the atmosphere, a bright orange glow surrounding the ships as friction replaced the empty vacuum of space. Cutting altitude as quickly as possible without risking injury to the non-combatants inside, the clone pilots levelled off the three gunships mere meters over the planet's massive ocean the sheer speed of the ships causing a small wake to from behind them. Despite being given the all clear by the sensors the pilots took no risk with their precious cargoes, eyes and sensors scanning vigourously for any sign of danger.

Standing easily inside the hold of the lead gunship, Captain Eorm Riwwel keyed his comlink. "Pilot, what's out ETA?"

"Four minutes, Sir," came the Clone's efficient response with no more emphasis or emotion than was necessary for the message to be understood.

"Thank you, Pilot." Riwwel replied, suppressing a shudder as the hairs on the back of his neck stood up. It still unnerved him, the same voice issued from behind the white helmet of every single clone trooper, like speaking to a ghost.

Putting the comlink away, Riwwel glanced over at the representatives from the Republic's Diplomatic Corps that stood huddled uneasily within their protective ring of clone troopers. Whereas Riwwel's short athletic fame and years of sitting in a cockpit allowed him to adjust unconsciously to the minor bumps and jolts of the ship the diplomats seemed to be having a harder time with the drop. If it wasn't for their clone protectors holding them up it would have been a rather battered delegation that emerged to to meet Governor Micambertoris once they reached Il Avali.

As if sensing the concern coming from the captain, Cheeya, the senior diplomat, glanced up at Riwwel giving him a curt nod indicating she was OK despite her blue face being several shades lighter than it had been at take off. A native of the planet Maya Kovel, the Ayrou's feathery hair danced gracefully around her willowy frame as mesmerizing as anything Riwwel had seen in the Galaxies Opera House on Coruscant.

Standing Beside Cheeya was Kirrewa, a female Vuvrian from the planet Vurdon Ka. Despite being tossed around almost carelessly by the air currents, the insectoid diplomat seemed far more interested in trying to catch what glimpses she could of Druckenwell's watery surface as it slipped beneath them than trying to keep herself upright.

In contrast to the two aliens, Perry Olithen, a young human native of Coruscant in his early twenties, maintained a death grip on his the black canvas handhold swinging from the metal bar above his head. His dark eyes stared intently at the deck plating as willing the flight to an end. Riwwel could only chuckle silently to himself. Some people were made for this kind of thing, some were not. Olithen, for all of his diplomatic training, was clearly not such a person.

Glancing at his wrist chrono, Riwwel pulled his comlink back out. "Chariot 1 to Chariot 2. We are two minutes from target."

"Thank you, Captain," came the small, squeaky voice that belonged to the diminutive Aleena Jedi Master Chidda Nebet, the unofficial leader of the mission to Druckenwell and Jedi General commanding the three Republic warships orbiting high above the planet. Accompanied by four other Jedi Knights and their Padawans, Nebet's team should have been enough on its own to bring Druckenwell to its senses. That would have been if there wasn't a war on. That would have been were the Jedi not held in the same contempt as the villainous Trade Federation.

OOC:

Before I go any further I want to give you guys a chance to post and introduce your characters to one another. As I said in my last post, I'm pretty easy when it comes to the style of post as long as I can clearly tell what is in character and what is not. An example post is as follows.

Example Post

Ignoring the barrage of blaster fire coming his way Krail pulls out his blaster and fires at the approaching battle droids as he takes cover behind the nearest crates.

OOC: Krail moves two squares to A4 and uses a swift action to draw his blaster and an attack action to fire at the nearest battle droid.

Attack Roll:

Roll 12 + 3 Ranged Attack Bonus = 15

Damage Roll (3d6+1):

Roll 10 (1,4,5) +1 = 11

=========

And now for the main attraction...

Nurien Kel - You're on Chariot 3 with three squads of clone troopers. You've been sent to cover the Republic's diplomatic efforts to bring an end to the hostilities on Druckenwell before they spill over into the larger galactic conflict. You are the only member of the delegation to have no direct ties to any Republic institution.

Moira Kenaan - You're on Chariot 2 with the other Jedi. Please pick your master. wink

Diumba Meebs - You're on Chariot 1. In addition to the Naval security provided by Captain Riwwel and the clone troopers you've been assigned to provide personal protection to the Diplomatic Corps personnel at all times.

Horus Suncaller - You're on Chariot 2 with the other Jedi. Please pick your master. wink

Kerran Belwynn - You're on Chariot 2 with the other Jedi. Please pick your master. wink

Mizuki Shayal - You're on Chariot 2 with the other Jedi. Please pick your master. wink

Owain Kast - You're on Chariot 1 with the rest of the Republic's Diplomatic Team. Whereas Perry Olithen is the personal aid to Cheeya, you are serving the same role for Kirrewa at the personal request of Kea Paal, the female Gran representing Druckenwell in the Galactic Senate.

==========

Jedi Masters

I'm going to give you guys the chance to pick your own masters on a first post, first serve basis. I'm only going to give you a brief description here so choose wisely. wink

Thom Correll - A native human of Corellia and the former Padawan of Elgenas Al'Tirrl, Thom feels far more at home in the lower levels of Coruscant than he does inside the walls of the Jedi temple. In Thom's mind the individual cannot always be cast aside for the sake of the masses.

Elgeans Al'Tirrl - A Caamasi Jedi Master who often undertakes dangerous assignments involving some of the galaxy's most notorious underworld organizations.

Ro'Khan - A hulking Feeorin Jedi Master, Master Ro'Khan is greatly respected throughout the Jedi Order for his prowess in combat and has long been a self defence trainer to Younglings and Masters a like.

Eloun Joff - A member of the Miraluka species, Master Joff has been a constant in the instruction of Younglings. Only recently, and for her own reasons, did Joff decide to take on another full fledged Padawan and instruct them in the ways of the Force. Although strict she is nevertheless patient with those under her tutelage.

Oh man, I hate these high speed insertions Kel thinks to himself as the feels the turbulence of the LAAT/i working its way into denser and denser atmosphere. Soon, with the huge side doors swung open, Kel could see the immense ocean of Druckenwell sweeping by, the scintillating points of light from the suns reflection nothing more than a glittery blur at the high speed of the "larty" as he'd overheard the clones calling it.

Well, at least this way's a lot safer. No chance of us being shot down. Kel thought as he contemplated the idea of pulling out his holocam and trying to record the insertion. He was under strict instructions not to, as GAR manuevers were considered classified. Not that there was anything particularly interesting about insertion, other than what kind of meal it could cause you to bring up, no, Kel only wanted to catch a few candid moments between the three squads of clones sharing the larty with the young holojournalist. Republican taxpayers paid for this army, so under the "public's right to know" they should see what these folks were like.

Kel only toyed with the idea for another moment before discarding it as useless. Who knew what these troops could see in those soulless helmets they wore? Who knew what kind of fancy kit could detect the energy signature of a holocam recording. No, best just to try and wait out this landing. Maybe he could strike up a conversation with one of these guys.

"Hey, Nurien Kel. My friends just call me Kel. I'm the HNN attache to this mission. Who might you be?" Kel says, asking the nearest trooper, hoping for something more than just a simple serial number, or whatever these guys used when speaking to the public. Kel just knew they had to use names around each other. It was only logical, and if these guys could be made more human, and not just a meat droid in a plasteel helmet with a blank gaze, then maybe the people of the galaxy would give more than a bucket of huttspit about them. It was up to Kel to try and get something the people of the galaxy could relate to about them.

Horus Suncaller stands near the edge of the transport's doorway, eyes closed as he allows the flow of the Force to wash over him. His shoulder length hair and long Padawan braid, a true platinum color, whip behind him along with the traditional robes that mark the young human male as a member of the Jedi Order. He keeps one hand loosely at the ready by his left side, a few inches away from the silvery cylinder attached to his utility belt across his body. His body is relaxed yet ready, as it has been honed to be through years of schooling, yet his thoughts are not yet the serene calm they should be. The padawan can feel the presence of his Master, Eloun Joff, deep in her own meditations yet still aware of everything around her.

There is no emotion...only peace he thinks to himself, feeling the great ally of the Force surround him and the others in the Republic delegation. Horus breathes deeply, allowing the last smallest vesitges of nervousness to bleed away until his placid aura mirrors his Master's. He had trained all his life to be a Jedi, as had other Suncallers before him. Some of their images had waited for him in the history banks of the Archives when he had first studied Jedi history. Their legacy was one of proud service to the Republic for generations, one could spend a lifetime trying to live up to it. "Do or do not", Master Yoda had been fond of saying to his charges during Horus' childhood among the Hawk-bat Clan, "there is no try". Horus intended to do, allowing the will of the Force to guide him.

Opening his clear blue eyes he looks out over the watery world towards the city that is their final destination. The situation here must be grave. He ponders, thinking back to the membership of the delegation he had observed boarding the transports inside the Acclamator's cavernous hanger. Jedi, Clone Troopers, Senate diplomats...the finest the Republic has to offer. All for Druckenwell.

To his right he hears the crackle of military issue comlink chatter and the lead Jedi, Master Nebet's, polite response. As he feels the Force humming about them all with potential energy Horus turns for one last look inside the Gunship before they make their final approach, his aquiline features outlined by the sunlight. And so it begins...

Standing at the right side gunship door is Kerran Belwynn, his black Padawan braid dancing on the wind, hand strongly gripping the handhold. Upon hearing that it's only two minutes to target, he starts wondering how did all the other Jedi feel before the slaughter at Geonosis. Throwing one last glance at the horizon, a thought runs through his mind These... clones... certainly know their job.. Then he quickly looks back into the gunship, trying to reassure himself.

You survived it all... being taken to the Temple, all the intensive training, getting a master, disputes on Commenor... You even made a couple of friends in Fefze clan, so why would you be worried about this action? Calm down, I have to calm down. But what awaits us? Could this be another Geonosis, this time for us? For me? ... No, I must not go down that path, not the path of fear. Anyhow, if I do not know what is going to happen, should I not ask my master? For "There is no ignorance, there is knowledge."

Suddenly, he realizes he still has a lightsaber in his right hand and therefore replaces it on his utility belt. Feeling his morale boosted a bit, Kerran turns to his master, Thom Correll, and politely asks him "What can we expect once we get into the capital?"

Owain Kast had a little bit of foresight when it came to the drop ships, when he borded he planted himself in a corner where he could easily brace himself and not worry about falling over. His Protocol droid Q-3PO however was having a hard time standing. The droid bounced back and forth trying to remain upright complaining the whole time about his hatred of flying. When he heard that it was two minutes to landing he let his eyes close to gather his thoughts. Sure he was here to assist another diplomat, but this was his way to start his political climb to the top.

"CT-3571/8932," the clone stated simply, half turning to resume his watch of the open sky before adding, "Don't worry, Sir. We'll get get you to the DZ in one piece."

Kerran Belwynn

Kerran had known his master long enough to recognize the small, playful smile tugging at the corner of his lips. Barely thirty with a medium build, short wavy hair and a dark, close trimmed beard, Thom was considered handsome by most. A native or Corellia, it wasn't surprising that Thom seemed to be enjoying the drop despite the seriousness of the mission that lay ahead.

"Well," Thom said nonchalantly, the small smile turning into a grin, "We'll land at the Parliament Buildings, meet Governor Micambertoris and try to convince enough of the local elite that remaining with the Republic is worth their time financially."

Pausing for a moment Thom's face darkened, his usual carefree air vanishing. "Essentially were here so that when the Separatists do show up this planet's ready for them."

Mizuki Shayal

Mizuki was, in the best way to describe it, excited. No, not for the death and destruction that soon awaited her but for her chance to prove herself, to prove her worth as a Jedi. Here she was, as she had always imagined, charging into enemy territory with only the Force at her back, a few allies, and a lightsaber that wouldn’t be able to solve all of her problems but most of them at least. That’s what she hoped.

Her left hand grasped around a handhold, her right twirling a curl of long, silver hair, she turned her head behind her to take a look at the others, Padawans like her and their Masters. One, with platinum-blonde hair, was focused and relaxed. The other, with jet-black hair whipping in the strong winds that pushed against the transport, also had a hand grasped firmly around the handhold. They didn’t look pleased at all to be out here though that’s what Mizuki just assumed.

Perhaps they’ve been on missions before, the young woman reasoned. Her right hand left her silvery hair, grasped firmly around her lightsaber now. Her eyes, oceanic-blue in color, stared at the hulking Feeorin beside her, a sort of father figure to her. Yes, this was Ro’Khan, her master of many years. He came first to mind as she had heard many tales of Padawans losing their Masters in combat, in war and peace.

She prayed to the Force that wouldn’t happen on this day.

Moira Kenaan

Outwardly, Moira seemed calm & even relaxed while being jostled about during the landing process. In reality, she was using every bit of her balance training & meditation to "hold it in" as spacers would say. Moira could already hear Master Tre'fey scolding her for being too headstrong; she'd simply rather not have to deal with the embarrassment of sharing her breakfast with the deck of the transport.

(EDIT: due to arrangement with GM, the part of Elgenas Al'Tirrl will now be played by the Bothan Tan Tre'fey)

Moira was still more than a little concerned about the mission. Master Tre'fey was part of the earlier Jedi mission to Druckenwell, and he hinted (rather ominously, as he tended to do) that all isn't as it seems.

Horus listens to the statement of the Master with interest. After a moment he turns to his fellow Jedi, a question forming in his mind. When he speaks the Padawan's soft accent is unmistakably Corsucanti, "Master Correll, if it is a forgone conclusion that the Separatists are coming to Druckenwell, is our purpose here to try and restart talks with the local government and seditious groups or to establish a workable planetary defense? Or some combination of the two?"

He pauses, pondering something, then continues confidently. "It would seem to me that the two missions would be ill received one way or the other. The prior diplomatic overtures did not much assuage public outcry and renewed efforts might be seen by the government as too concilliatory towards what amount to terrorists. While the establishment of a military presence here could inflame anti-Republican sentiment...being branded as something resembling occupation." Aware of the attention on him Horus stops and bows a bit from the waist, politely careful not overstep his bounds as a Padawan addressing a Master, espcially one not his own.

<<Diumba Meebs>>

On the first ship, Diumba stood inside the ring of clone troopers, her ears flapping unhappily and her legs set wide to keep her balance. She still didn't like flying, even after all her years on Coruscant.

She knew a little bit about the planet, some from the diplomats she was escorting, some from a man she'd met once upon a time.

There were supposed to be a lot of battle droids on Druckenwell. She wondered if she'd be able to shoot them.

OOC: As Merk has already said I'm placing the Bothan Jedi Master Tan Tre'fey in place of Master Al'Tirrl as Moira Kenaan's master. However, Master Al'Tirrl will still be Thom Correll's master even though Al'Tirrl won't be making an appearance at this point.

To clarify one final point, Master Tre'fay was sent to Druckenwell after Master Nebet voluntarily withdrew from the original mission following the lost of Nebet's padawan. Unfortunately for Tre'fay and the Republic the damage was already done and what remained of the talks ended soon after in failure.

Nurien Kel

"They call me...Three-Two, Sir," CT-3571/8932 responded awkwardly with a tilt of his head as if the question had caught him off guard.

Leaning his head out towards the open hold so as to get a better view, Three-Two turned back to Nurien a sudden anticipation entering his being. "We're coming up on the city now, Sir. You'd best hold on tight."

Chariot Two

"It is NOT a foregone conclusion," Master Ro'Khan replied sharply, his deep bass as every bit imposing as his hulking blue frame, his dark eyes regarding Horus with a dark questioning. "But rather it is extremely likely, if these Separatists possess any tactical ability whatsoever which I suspect they do. Our routing of their forces on Geonosis was due to the element of surprise, nothing more. We'd all do well to remember that." The Feeorin shot Thom an unreadable look, the Correllian Jedi's smile vanishing.

Regaining his composure, Thom turned to Horus his eyes pausing for the briefest second on Master Joff. "Master Ro'Khan is right. If the Republic loses Druckenwell then we lose the ability to reinforce everything along the Corellian Run from the Midrim out. That makes if an extremely tempting target."

"As for there being two missions, you're quite right. Our first priority here is to try and establish a unified front to stand against Separatists if and when they decide to show up. The Republic can't afford to lose Druckenwell's manufacturing capacity, especially not when the Confederacy already has such a huge head start on us militarily. Right now the Republic can't afford to fortify Druckenwell for two reasons; one, we don't have the troops, and two, it would seem too much like an occupation exactly as you said and the planet would secede without a second thought. So, we talk the corporations into staying on the Republic's side and they bring the people and the manufacturing power as well as the extra defence Druckenwell needs. If we can't convince them to stay at least neutral then we'll be fighting not only the Separatists but everyone else on the planet and that's a battle we just can't win."

"It is a possibility we must nevertheless prepare for," Master Joff said finally once Thom had finished speaking, the Miralukan's stern voice cutting through the foreboding air of Thom's words.

"We must hope for the best," Master Nebet added, her squeaky voice barely audible above the rushing wind, her eyes possessing a confidence unwarranted by the situation. "And as Jedi we will serve the Force's will no matter what path it choses to reveal to us."

OOC: I'll give a chance for people to respond to this post before I post the "update" tomorrow night. wink

Also, feel free to RP amoughst yourselves during any downtime. If you put something out there I'll run with as best I can. Fair warning, I may have to cut scenes between players short from time to time. This isn't to snide anyone or their ideas, its just to keep the game moving forward for everyone.

Luke: Wow...he must have been consumed by the evil over a long period of time then...
Obi-Wan: Well no, not really. Seriously, one minute he was all like "Oh Hello
Obi-Wan old chum! What new adventures shall we have today?" Next he was killing babies...
