So I just read on Wizards.com that the subscription fee for the D&D online applications of the D&D Character Builder and GameTable (after an introductory period) will by $14.95 per month. Now I was expecting something more like $4.99 and that would be pushing it, but why do they expect that anyone will want to pay more per month to use an RPG program you have to build yourself than they would to play and RPG that's already completely created.

Well, from what I understand, its supposed to be the Dungeon and Dragon magazine articles/adventures along with the fancy yancy character builder/DM tool.
Thats two subscriptions to the equivalent of the paper subscriptions + the tools. The mag subscriptions were more than $30 a month for both
HIGHLY doubt it will be that quality, but that is what they are selling.
