The original LEGO Star Wars was spectacular, but I'm just not as excited about the sequel. The joy of the first one was lightsaber combat. That will clearly be at a minimum in the sequel. I really didn't enjoy controlling blaster characters in the first game, so I wonder if this game might not be as much fun.
They've added special moves to the non-jedi to make melee combat more fun. Besides you can jedi your way through the game in freeplay mode.

I don't think online play would be included because here's the thing: this game is directed towards kids 6-12. That's why it's easy, that's why there isn't online, and that's why the Kaminoans dance.
