GRAW was much more fun for me. It felt more epic then Vegas and had more replay value, IMO.

Currently I'm trying to limit myself with game buying for my 360 due to not having crazy amounts of money atm. The next game I get will either be Bioshock or the Orange Box but I'm having some trouble deciding which one to get.
Any help?

Rainbow Six Vegas was absolutely fun to play through from beginning to end. Sadly, it's multiplayer options are lacking, so once singleplayer is over, I had no more use for it.

Never played a Half Life game at all. I mostly want to get the Orange Box for the FPS fun and for Portal.

Reynar is totally wrong on this one. If you want singleplayer, grab Bioshock for sure. If you've got Xbox Live, consider Orange Box.

Alright, maybe you guys can help me out.
I was looking through the list of xbox games that are backwards compatible with 360 and saw Jedi Knight: Jedi Academy and Republic commando were added to the list. I missed out on these games when they were current, and was wondering if you guys think they warrant a purchase? Thanks.

I'd say of course they do, depending on the price that is. If it is cheap enough I would advise getting them no questions asked. They are both good games, I like JA for multi[player more than single I think but RC is great for both. There is a PC bundle out that has JA, Republic Commando, KotOR, EaW and Battlefront I for around $20 and has been for some time. If you can find them for $20 I'd say go for it.

I've got Half Life 2. Would I want the Oranage Box at all? And I heard of something called the Black Box - is that still on?

I'd say Republic Commando is a big yes, but Jedi Academy is a let down, at least it was for me. Multiplayer makes up for it, to some degree.
The Black Box was for the PC, only comes with Episode II, Portal and Team Fortress II. I'd say that's a better choice since you already own HLII ... BUT, and this is a big but, if you haven't played Episode I either, than the Orange Box would be worth a purchase instead.
Here's a question. Is a PS3 worth a purchase without a HD TV? Yes, obviously it's a better experience, but since I can't afford both, would it be appropriate to get one this year as the price starts to fall and just use it with a standard screen?

Not necessarily. The PS3 has fewer games than 360, but it's got some good ones, with more on the way. It's also cheaper in the long run - you're also getting a blue-ray player, which is worth quite a bit on its own. And Microsoft is huge on price gouging, so you'll probably end up spending hundreds on accessories and services from them. So PS3's actually a bit cheaper, but you get fewer games.

I say go with what The_Riot said. The 360 alone is a better deal than the PS3 (again, it comes down to the games, not all these unnecessary add-ons that the PS3 comes with), and you can add a Wii on top of that for the cost of a PS3. I'd take two great systems over one mediocre system any day of the week.

First of all, no, it does not necessarily come down to the games rather than the 'unnecessary' add-ons. It depends on the individual buyer, and in general, no add-ons are any more necessary or unnecessary than the game console itself. If you want to play blue ray DVDs, then a blue ray player is very much a necessary add-on.
Reynar, you missed my main point entirely. When you buy a 360, you're buying Microsoft, and every accessory and game you buy will be a matter of how much money Microsoft can extort from you. Microsoft strictly regulates game prices, so you'll be hard-pressed to find any game for sale below $50. In most cases, Microsoft will take a game off shelves before they reduce the price to a reasonable level. After that, you've also got to deal with the crazy prices Microsoft places on accessories - like the $100 wireless antenna, $50/year online service, memory marked up more than ten times its value...
I'm not saying you should buy the PS3. I'm just saying that it's a purchase any gamer should at least consider.
