Why waste time with that half finished guide when you could get everything you need at Gamefaqs. Even full listings on all collection items and the planets they are found on and codexs.

Yeah...the fact that they're late to the party with this one (although even IGN's is still slightly incomplete) tells all. Just grab the official book guide, or hit GameFAQs.
Anything less sucks the skid-marks off a condom.

Actually, I think they'll be posting the "boudoir" photos of Saren and Wrex caught in several...compromising positions, along with an underage Volus.

could be they take the route of Elder Scrolls:Oblivion and release the sequel as DLC first, then as a stand alone disc in a few months.
Or, better yet, offer those that have the game already access to Beta testing the sequel.

To date, over 1.6 million gamers have explored the engaging sci-fi universe of Mass Effect. Beginning on March 10, fans everywhere will be able to expand the “Mass Effect” experience with the release of the first ever downloadable content for the award-winning saga.
The Bring Down the Sky downloadable content pack will be released to Xbox LIVE Marketplace on Monday, March 10 at 2 a.m. PST, and will be available for 400 MS points. This is the first in a series of planned downloadable content that further expands the Mass Effect universe and continues the adventures of Commander Shepard and the Normandy crew.
Bring Down the Sky includes a new uncharted world that introduces the notorious and feared alien race of the Batarians. A Batarian extremist group has hijacked a mobile asteroid station in the Asgard system, setting it on a collision course with the nearby colony world of Terra Nova. Only Commander Shepard can save the millions of innocent civilians before the asteroid completes its deadly descent.
Bring Down the Sky contains approximately 90 minutes of heart-pounding action and a new Achievement worth 50 Gamerscore points.
Mass Effect is exclusively available on Xbox 360 and is rated M for Mature by the ESRB.
90 mins? Nice.

A couple of answers for you (without trying to spoil any upcoming fun).
The DLC will fit into an existing game (or will be available if you start a new game) and will appear as a new Galaxy Map location.
It takes place during the game play, not "after the game".
March 10 is for all regions afaik (if I hear different I will let everyone know). There will be localized subtitles, but not VO.
Bring Down the Sky is only available through Xbox Live. Sign up for an Xbox Live account and learn more about how to get Live Points for ME DLC.
And yes, this is the FIRST Mass Effect DLC, there will be more to come in the future (but we aren't talking about that just yet).

The official Xbox Live announcement here, with more photos and info.
I'm curious as how they're gonna make it a full hour-and-a-half side-mission, though. I don't think I spent over 45 minutes on a side-mission throughout my initial playthrough. I'm looking forward to pulling my first character up again. It's an opportunity unique in the history of RPGs, as far as I know.
I do wonder, with all of these opportunities to keep levelling up your character, how are they going to handle them in the sequels? At some point, presumably, you'll have filled up every skill slot. Unless they plan on pulling a "Kyle Katarn" and stripping you of all your stats and items, maybe.
