The Mako's a bit strange but it handles OK; normal FPS movement plus mouselook for the turret.

I wish they wouldn't let you depress the turret below where it can actually fire though.

Controls aside, the Mako is a bit odd. The scale seems too small, and it doesn't look very off-road. Some of the vehicles in Red Faction Guerrilla look more the part, and some seem to take their inspiration from existing Mars rovers.

I hope they change or upgrade it for ME2. Something like the last Batmobile would be cool.

that was one of the things they already stated was changed for the next game, as it was one of the biggest complaints.

I always thought it was appropriately tiny for a military vehicle carried on a space ship. In my mind the passenger compartment consists of 3 seat. A driver and navigator seat with the commander's seat elevated between the two so that his or her head is actually in the turret.

The scale of the Mako is definitely off, moreso when you have its three occupants standing right outside it. IT should definitely be bigger, especially when you consider the gyroscopic and shock absorbing systems needed on a vehicle that routinely takes such sickening spins, leaps and falls.

Yeah, seeing Wrex and Garrus standing next to it makes the Mako look extremely cramped. tongue And far too cosy to be dropping off cliffs and taking Geth fire.

Some new footage with developer commentary:

Beware spoilers!

All I can say is: WOW. I love the sequences in the city (Earth? Citadel?) - it has a nice dark Episode 3 vibe.

Right now I'm re-playing the game to farm a few more achievements, though getting 1000/1000 GS will probably never happen considering the number of playthroughs you need for the ally achievables. Anyhoo, question: To get the hardcore and insanity playthrough achievements, do these have to be done with a whole new character each time or could you get them on a new playthrough with your level 50+ character? Also, on my previous playthrough I played exclusively with Tali and Liara throughout all the game and all possible uncharted worlds, yet didn't get any of the Ally achievables for these two. Is there a miag formula in order to get these?

That is of the Asari homeworld you saw zacparis. Bioware said its the ME version of Coruscant basically. I can't wait to explore that planet.

Actually, it's an Asari colony world called Illium.

So, that was totally awesome. I cannot wait for this game to come out.

Though I am extremely disappointed at the huge spoiler they gave out. They could have given a warning (I know you did zacparis, but I wasn't expecting something like that... sad )

Well, if the huge spoiler is what I think it is, Bioware seems to be practically using it as a selling point since the reveal at E3.

Assuming we're thinking of the same thing. tongue

Looks so very, very nice...

1. You can use an existing character. Hell, on Insanity it's a great idea since all the enemies have insane damage reduction.
2. Did you do any assignments on the Citadel before you met those two? The completionist is based on how many assignments (need 53) and misssions (need 15) you complete with the character in the party. To get Liara's you have to speed through to her ASAP. I'd advise you not to trigger anything at all (no dialogue, nothing) without those 2 characters.
