Just looking back at other ideas was fun like the hanger idea, but rilly deffend the hanger isint what battle front is lets look back at some classy WW2 battles, Pearl harbor lets see... cloud city platform was cinda like that with the AA guns and stuff But think....if battle front had ships... The wokkie planet could be like D-day. also some 1 said some thing about gunships that have ropes on them for troops to rope down on. Thats grat! and so i wach SW2 clone wars seeing the gun ships that drop off tanks that would be cool. then I remember that the geonosis levl on BF1 was clasic i rilly like it but what if LA combined the map From BF1 and BF2 thated be the best levl. oh and troops die like lego people on both BF's. id like kicking the dead guys around like on halo. mounted AI guns like the clasic SW E-web blaster that a class can carry around and set up... mischief means alot of dead guys. oh more battles that last longer fo taking planets. sence win can you win a battle and take a hole planet? LAME! some millitary power attacks like EX empier wins a number of battles then can pick one planet to blow up. cool! like BF1. BF3 needs to be more stagity. like on Rise of the empier in shooter game to whare you might be on gard then all of a suden ur buddy gets shot, for this command posts need to be farther away that way you might be flying in a gunship then start geting shot at by AA guns more like real life with ambushes and Boming runs. make the CPU's learn from you.....thay still need to be smarter like take cover and stuff but whats with "ok im gunna go attack the 10 rebs over hear by my self" NO its more like "crap im gunna need some back up so ill form up with others then attack or thairs bad guys in this room in gunna run in and die NO needs to be like army of 2 whare u can shoot over cover and throw grnades in to rooms like on SWRC. recon droids need to last longer and not blow them selvs up. space to land battles thats how its done guys lode up in a gunship and head down planet to the battle. and snipers arnt that acuret u cant hold the sniper that still needs to be like COD4. hearos on space battles but that pop up in thair ship. like slave 1 or the falcon. and if i wher a reb i dont think all are voices are the same and we look the same. and i dont think the clones need to sound the same or can a trooper stand that still for a long time think if u leve the contoler alone for a bit thay need to relax like put thir gun away or leane it on thair sholder. more classes and levls is a yes a commando misson mode might be fun. melee is a yes, smarter troops a tes droor breches and more realalisticness is a defanent! cool o and battle droids need to be a class super battle droids need to be a unlockable class, commandos need to carry smaller rifles not bid gatling guns. and civls and native animals are needed and civl s need to talk. id love to see a lady in theed running around screeming DONT KILL ME! SAVE ME! and bust in to a house a bad guy might be in and see a family huttled in a corner or hideing or if ur a enemt on that levl the husband might pull out a gun and try to kill u. or iff ur a ally thay might heal ur or give u amo or a gun. snipers need to be harder to find i hate it on BF2 when in sniping and i shoot a guy once and he knows whare i am sence when do snipers need to shoot beams that tell the guy whare u r

i always said that the there needs to civis around in nxt game. there also need to be neutral enemies that are easier to kill(one shot) or if a civi has been killed all the other innocent take guns and start helping the other team that didnt kill the civi.

Ther should be a site on the internet that you can customize your own Planet and map with vehivles,civis,ect.

For large maps there should be an APC that can carry up to maybe 8 guys(driver,turret,2nd turret,passanger 1,passanger2,passanger3,passanger4,and passanger 5. But i think that the APC can vary in differnt seating charts and weapons.

When the player is not moving the analog stick to move the gunship it should just hover in the air that way my fast rope idea can work. I like fast roping its fun LOL. ok i got an idea. On some Campaign Missions when invading a planet it should show gunships all over the maps and people just fast roping off of them but thats just like in the background.For decorations there could be dead guys and droid parts scattered all over the battlefield.

for ranks it goes from Pvt.,CPL,SGT,Lt,Captian, and Major.

PVT gets 1 guy to follow. CPL gets 3 guys to follow. SGT gets 5 guys. Lt. gets 10 guys. Major gets 15.


Evertime you earn a few points, that whole glowing blue or red thing gotta stop.it gets annoyin.

I do apologise if many of this has been said before I can't read all 100+ pages on this.

Classes- Although classes will be general rule the team, each team will have slightly different equipment for teh classes eg. droid assassins get recon droid while rebel sharpshooters get auto turrets
Soldier- Soldiers will carry a long range rifle and a short range rifle as well as different types of grenade
clone trooper, battle droid, rebel soldier, stormtrooper

Heavy- they carry rocket launchers, decent pistols, and varying explosives
heavy trooper, assault droid, rebel vanguard, shock trooper

Sniper- They have sniper rifles, the worst pistols and some other equipment
Clone Marksman, assassin droid, rebel sharpshooter, scout trooper

Engineer- A repair tool (differs per faction) a shotgun, some extra supplies (differs per faction) and some other equipment
Clone engineer, tech droid, rebel smuggler, imperial gunner

Bonus classes

Unique/Elite- Not much to say about them apart from being pretty standard soldiers, with special abilities
Jet trooper- Given extra armour from its BFII counterpart but pretty much the same
Super Battle Droid- Now uses it's LASER CANNON and has some heat seeking rockets
Wookiee Warrior- Couldn't really think of much different, same bowcaster, lots of health
Squad Leader- One of those light repeating blasters and and a dispensable e-web turret

Recon- General units that move about alot or get some scanning in the area
ARC Trooper- Uses remote rockets and has dual pistols
Droideka- pretty much the same
Bothan spy- again much the same
Dark trooper- much the same but with a thermal vision to find hidden bothans

Command- units squad bonuses and if targetting an enemy alerts everyone on teh team to that enemy
Clone Commando- pretty much the same but some electrobinoculars thrown in
Command Droid- X-ray binoculars and a gas grenade launcher
Rebel Captain- Flamethrower
Imperial officer- Mortar Launcher, Carbonite freeze rifle and health dispenser

Guardian- a chance to fight melee
Jedi commander- lightsaber, force push (breaks apart droid), force heal
Magnaguard- electrostaff, but keeps neurotoxin to help defeat jedi
Rebel infiltrator- dual daggers and ascension guns, sort of an assassin character
Royal Guard- Vibro spear, and powerful recon droid (eg. on hoth it will be the probot)

As you can see the bonus units produce circles of rock, paper, scissors like...stuff



Space units

Pilots- instead of having them heal ships (that shoudl be left to astromech droids) they should be the only accessible to the flight stunts
Clone pilot, droid pilot, TIE pilot, Rebel pilot

Marine- pretty much soldiers on a ship which differ from soldiers on teh ground, on maps on ships the sniper class will be replaced by the marine class
Clone marine, Security battle droid, imperial marine, rebel marines

Space command- have com links back to their ship to give it orders and some priveliges on consoles they can use on their own ship.
Clone liuetenant, TDF officer (neimoidian), Rebel officer, Imperial fleet officer


Also I would think some sort of renegade squadron customization would be welcome, in galactic conquest you should be a ble to choose alternativeley one of these instead of teh regular army.

ARC Troopers
Jedi strike team
custom droid army
Dark acolytes
Renegade squadron
7th regiment
501st legion
the emperor's guards


I would also think about spawning directly into vehicles (at special command posts) so say if you spawned directly into a snowspeeder in hoth and land you'll be a rebel pilot, taht way you could have pilots on the battlefield without making them a class. thsi will applicable to some space battles like space naboo

Maps- also a space battle for each map for both factions, and both can access both maps, I may just describe one of them

Naboo
Great Grassy Plains- that place where gungans battled the droids
Otoh Gunga- underwater gungan city where you can get into bongos liek space battles
Lianorm Swamp- the swamp where obi wan and qui gon land
Theed- naboo city
Royal Palace- where obi-wan, qui-gon and darth maul battle
Lake Country- where anakin and padmé hide out, not much of a battlefront but hey

Coruscant
Legislative Borough- where the mace-sidious and yoda-sidious duels take place although stretched across two different buildings
Ambassadorial Sector- where padmé apartment is, you can ride the speeders though
Jedi Temple- teh temple itself and you can fly around to the watch towers if you want
Entertainment District- with teh opera house and the sports bar
The Works- where sidious and dooku conspire, can basically be any kind of map since we don't see much of it
Dock- will contain many acclamators it will also have the surgical reconstruction centre

Kamino
Tipoca City- basically where obi wan and jango fight, mostly outdoors but some inside and you can fly those birds
Military Complex- indoors where the clones are

Geonosis
Droid Foundries- conveyor belts and deadly traps
Petranaki arena- execution arena with doord with can be detsroyed to release teh acklay, nexu and rhiek
Im'g'twe Hills- with the hardcell transports and teh core ships, spawn directly as gunships
E'Y-Akh Desert- place where they chase dooku, contains teh famous hangar


Yavin
Great Temple- where the rebel base is
Jungle- similar to teh yavin map in bfII

Hoth
Echo Base- spawn as snowspeeders or spawn by command vehicles, contains some of echo base
Northern Ridge- wampas, snowspeeders and tauntauns
Echo Base Caves- pretty much just inside

Bespin
Cloud City- the main city
Shafts- where luke and vader battle
Platforms- the gas platforms allowing ship spawning

Tatooine
Mos Espa- contains the city and the outskirts
Pod Race Stadium- basically teh circuit, withna bonus mode where you can just hop on and race
Jundland Wastes- contains the lars homestead, beggars canyon and the tusken camp and maybe a sandcrawler
Mos Eisley- must have the bar plus all the docks
Dune Sea- has sarlaac pit jabba's sail bareg and ben kenobi's hut
Jabba's palace- much the same, but you can go outside

Endor
Bunker- contains teh bunker, the rebels attacking from teh landing site and from teh back entrace, you can spawn directly as speeder bikes and ewoks help out
Bright Tree Village- ewok land

Cato Neimoidia
Bridges- a bridge complex with fighter spawning

Alderaan
Aldera Royal Palace- erm, haven't decided

Boz Pity
Port- again haven;t a clue

Kashyyyk
Kachiro- the map from teh film, teh acclamator the platforms and maybe a cis island they spawn from

Felucia
Marshlands- more jungly and full of rancors

Mustafar
Mining Facility- you'll be able to go out of teh facility and follow the hills of teh duel

Mygeeto
Ruined City- another bridge complex

Saleucami
Desert- a long map perfect for speeders

Dagobah
Swamp- I would like the water to be dangerous, you have to cross it but you might get eaten by some creature

Utapau
Pau City- must have more than one level and you need varactyls

Polis Massa
Medical facility- you don't see much of this so again I don't have a plan for this one


Death Star I
Interior- see episode IV
Exterior- the battle on the surface

Corellia
Coronet- some fancy city battle

lol....very old idea. We'v been saying that one since the day after SWBF2 came out! Kashyyk was by far one of the biggest disappointments when 2 came out. Too small, no amphibious warefare, no Wookie catamarans and Droid gunships, stupid beach connecting the CIS and Republic sides, , no tree city, no Turbo tanks etc....

I really like the idea of spawning into vehicles and that being the only way to be a pilot, freeing up space for another infantry class. That's one of the best ideas I have heard in this thread in a very long time.

You should either be able to choose yoru hero for the map or get assigned a random hero, there maybe could be more than 1 hero per team and some heroes will have their own ships which can spawn directly into space (other heroes will have other abilities such as control over the flagship or increased usefulness in any ship)

I would also really want to get rid of the lightsaber gauge, it makes playing as heroes more likely to get you killed than not, and why shoudl defensive jedi have to kill to survive. Lets also remember that many of the heroes are SURVIVORS, not compulsive killers. Boba fett and Jango need stronger armour and lightsaber throw should be reserved for only a few jedi (eg. Yoda and Vader) and its power should be weakened.

I thought maybe if the heroes aren;t assigned to maps then unlockable heroes could be used, especially for the more obscure faces.

I havent read all the comments so im probably gonna repeat what a lot of people have already said. If theres gonna be a Battlefront 3 then:
Land Battles

-More troops involved in battles.
-Instead of starting as one trooper start as a squad of 5. Then when your killed you transfer to another squad member until your whole squad is dead then respawn a new squad.
>As you purchase say rocket troops or snipers then they'll be automatically integrated into the squad.
>When you enter a vehicle then say you drive and control main gun, 1 sqaud member controls anti infantry and the rest surround the vehicle( 1 each side and to the rear ) and act as infantry support.
-You and your ai squad can take cover and fire behind walls/stuctures/trees etc ( like Gears of war )

Space Battles

-Need to be bigger and better.
-More than one cruiser and have the ships maybe drive past and fire volleys at each other.
-BF2 space battles too easy, just board and destroy. Needs progressive objectives...ie eliminate 50% of the fighters before you can destroy force fields then board the ship with marines to defeat defenses ( enemy marines, turrets ) and then bring engineers to blow up stuff!
-Maybe fly with a wingman instead of "goin it alone"

The game in general

-Co-op as usual with their own squad
-Free for all galactic conquest, as in 6 factions fighting for contol with diplomatic availability. Also would be nice if it could be co-op as well but if your on opposing teams fighting on different worlds then the 360 might not support it.

the squad idea isn't a bad one its just not a very necessary one, it sortof rips out the soul of battlefront. I see no reason to change the spawn out of command post idea.

Squads can be improved though, you should be able to give more squad commands and get wingmen in space and maybe go as far as showing status of squad members on the HUD.

You guys do realize that SWBF3 will no come out until either the new CW series or the live action TV show and whatever character content the game has will be tied to the new stuff. LA isn't going to touch the EU, their marketing strategy is very clear these days, they bundle everything together. That's why SWBF2 sucked, they rushed it to coincide with the release of ROTS on DVD, we can only hope they are on the ball this time and going to start working on this game before they have any kind of arbitrary deadline working against them set by the marketing department at LA.

The problem with Admiral Thrawn is that the Chiss used equipment picked up from the empire so they wouldn't seem like a new faction for the most part, they would seem like LA just slapped something together real quick. Bad idea from a marketing perspective...they caught hell for #2, they are going to want to quell that so they can compete with the Halo's and COD series.

People can understand that empire has many factions,itwas shatered blala,if you explain in hte game.
Those how cant dont care about the story.
Rpublic Commando hadnt folowed the movies that strictly,and it was a succes.
