I was hoping to see Alliance too. You know, I hate when they get you all excited about the game and then it gets canned. Hopefully, Worlds will fill the void somehow.

Even though I have only seen the show once or twice, I am enthusastic about this new Sci-fi MMORPG. I only hope this will be a fun and playable game.

Where are you gonna go in a BSG MMORPG? You're either in the fleet (in which case you have limited options so far as where you can go and what you'll be fighting) or your not (in which case your on Caprica and pretty much screwed).

I had. A few things I wanted to point out.
Two audio Q&As with the devs from their forum's questions.
Video interview with the head animator.
Not the most informative interviews on the whole, but they mentions some interesting tidbits, including the importance of cover in firefights, canon-icity, and asgard beaming technology's involvement with asgard player characters.
There's also a Stargate Worlds Wiki, which has been compiling all the information released so far. Very useful compendium.

This has certainly peaked my interest. I just got into Stargate and have just hit season 3. Really loving the show. So many ideas going through my head right now and I'm not even knee deep into the show.

There's apparently a new trailer out that hasn't been released to the public yet. IGN mentioned their impressions here
We didn't actually get to play the title, but the trailer shown featured in-game footage from impressive-looking environments featuring futuristic cityscapes, deserts, forests, industrial complexes, and farmlands.
Also featured were a few enemy types, including small critters with plants growing out of their backs and a gigantic creature composed of what appeared to be fire that Cheyenne Mountain wasn't willing to divulge any further details about. Environments in the trailer appeared to be rather vast in scope. Cheyenne Mountain is aiming to have dozens of worlds in the game, some of which will be populated with multiple cities. The explorable space on the planet itself will range from rather small to several kilometers in size.
The game is set somewhere between seasons eight and nine of the popular SG-1 television show. According to Cheyenne Mountain, this will allow them to fill in gaps in the show's fiction, such as fleshing out the fiction of a world known as Lucia. While some of the other structure and world designs have been inspired from the Stargate: Atlantis television series, that show's fiction apparently won't be incorporated into the game.
Stargate Worlds is being designed as an accessible MMOG to reflect the diverse nature of the show's fans. In other words, it won't be a title that requires many hours of preparation to head out and perform tasks. The team instead wants to focus on the player being able to jump in for an hour or half-hour and feel like something was accomplished. They also mentioned the combat won't be about hit-point battles as much as tactical planning. Taking cover will be a large part of the game for players and enemies alike, and flanking maneuvers will play a significant role in a battle's outcome. Ideally this can mean that players of widely differing level ranges can still quest together effectively.
Hooking into that notion is the ability to power-up your character while performing non-combat tasks, such as staying behind in towns and crafting items and such while an expeditionary force is in the field. We've yet to see precisely how this works, but the developers say it will incorporate an extensive mini-game system.
We'll have more once we get some hands-on time with the game.
Still, there are some newer clips out. Both of these trailers share their in game footage, but have different art thrown in and cover different topics: world design and AI.

My favorite bit:
After launch, the Live Team will be writing “Atlantis” era material and current content – for example, mentions of Ancient Technology and puddle jumpers – are oriented to lead up to the current TV timeline. The gameplay model will also follow the TV model in that it is episodic and mission based. The quest logic is the vehicle to carry the story, and provides the backbone of how the player progresses.
