From what I've heard, while the game experience itself is amazing, it's just too short. Which is interesing since it spans 16 years...

besides, a 7/10 is nothing to sneeze at, expecially on the next gen consoles. most of the things i've seen have been below a seven, which is amazingly sad.

So apparently the game isn't good. If the magazines are giving the game that mediocre of a review, my hopes for this game have been crushed.

That is Tolkien bullcrap. You can buy a high end computer tower right now for just AUD$900. Even 500 if you shop smart. 7 and 8 graphics cards with 360 gigs, a far cry from the topline 4s of 6 years ago with 35 gigs. Comps are dirt cheap today, when you nostalgia their $5000 price of last decade. You can even get a multifunction printer with scanning and faxing for just $150!
As a PC player I feel excluded. No doubts the consolers payed good money to keep this off computers. The way major bookstores will tell publishers whether they'll sell a hardcover or paperback better. Or even page counts.
This doesn't suck, it stinks.
Which is fine, Lucasarts. It was either Starcraft 2 or you, and you can get stuff.

I like that quote 
The Art and Making of book is also very good. I've had to stop reading it though, as it's getting spoilery. The early chapters with the genesis of the story etc are excellent insight. And the pages of colour art are fantastic.

I must also laugh. Wasn't that game called KotOR? 
Maaaaan. I wish this game hadn't been about Vader's "Secret Apprentice" and had instead involved being a fully customisable Inquistor. That'd have been cooler.

It's very vague what Vik meant about there being "A PC Version", I think the implication is that there is a PC Version of the physics tech.
