Kind of like how irritating the TIE fighter sound gets when you fly one yourself in the Rogue Squadron games, and you hope that if you switch to cockpit view you can get off the hook. But there's no damn insulation in those TIEs so you're sitting there hearing this warped 'from-inside-the-cockpit' engine sound instead, which is just as bad, if not worse.
