Yeah my computer runs oblivion fine, but this one is a little laggy :/

But i think its a good game. It feels like kotor in a fantasy setting, what with your party member interactions and all, and yet its d&d through and through. Its pretty neat.

It's a good game. The single player campaign is far better then NWN's OC. But you can definitely tell the same guys who made KOTOR II made this game. There are some sloppy bugs and design elements. I've been hit by cutscenes that fail to fire, which force you to reload a previous save. They cut the DM tool at launch. Arcane Caster is broken, you can't use your Sneak attacks with ranged touch spells. Which really annoys me because that was going to be my first character. And there are a variety of bugs that range from minor to major. The game is still playable but it is annoying when you get smacked by a bug. The interface is a nightmare though, the quickbars reset. You can't merge things in it, like two weapons or sword and shield. And if your not paying attention you can end up casting spells, using items on the wrong people due to the targeting system.

I'm playing as a Deep Gnome, Monk/Rogue/Wiz. Because of the ECL rule he is 3 levels behind the rest of my party, but I'm getting a kick out of him. One thing I like about the new system is that summoned animals, pets and companions no longer leech XP from you. I think my next play through will be a Cleric with the Animal and Death domains. Both of which give you a pet. grin

It doesnt seem that animals do much to help you, really. Well, maybe if theyre your own. But i find that my companions like to play pranks on me. Like stay about 50 feet back while i charge in for combat alone. I switch to them and theyre just standing there so i have to manually make each one attack. It doesnt happen all the time, but it does happen and it is annoying. But yeah, ive had that same cutscene problem, it cuts to black and then something is supposed to happen but it doesnt. It happened to me when i was fighting the blade golem and he was supposed to go back into the portal after you did enough damage but he just never did, so i was stuck fighting him until he killed every last party member, even though i had done enough damage to kill him thrice over. Meh. I had to spend another half hour going through that house again because my last save point was too close to that moment and the bug kept happening.

But yeah, its still a good game. I like it.

The game has the highest miminum specs I have seen for a game. I will stick to the old one for a while.

I have almost beat the game, im at the King of Shadows keep right now, so ill prolly beat it after i get back from work at midnight. 8 ranger/ 2 fighter/ 7 weapon master/ 3 Neverwinter Nine and i pwn. Seriously. I fight with dual katanas with a critical range of 15-20, and they do x3 damage on a critical hit. 7 attacks per round. pwnage. With dual adamantine katanas that have a natural +2 magic damage enhancement, a +5 to hit, and 1d6 lightning on one and 1d6 cold on the other. i kill things in one round. Unless they are immune to critical hits, which at the end lots of things are :/

But anyway, pwnage. I cant wait to play again down the evil path next time. Im deciding what class to go. I was thinking warlock but i hear that they arent very fun because they are extremely unversatile, they have very little at their arsenal. So i might go either sorceror or some other magic class. Yep.

Yeah its pretty weird, the graphics are pretty good, but still are reminiscent of kotor, for example, and yet its extremely laggy at high and even medium settings. Meh. Im too tired to finish playing it tonight so ill finish it tomorrow tongue I have decided to make a new evil character and make a sorcerer and get the Red Dragon Disciple prestige class and after 10 levels in that im going to see, possibly get some levels in some melee class because after 10 dragon levels you get like +10 to your str score among other things...

Man it would be sweet if you could port old characters over, wouldn't it? I have so many level 40s it's painful.
I think I have a level 40 for every profession out there, maybe not every build available, but certinaly every primary profession.

That's how it was in the original NWN campaign too, so that's no biggie. I am sure they will push it further with updates and expansions, just like they did with the two expansions for the original.

Hrm. Well. I have to say, the ending sucked. Really. Seriously. And with the ending it had, it left no room for expansions. unless the expansion gave you control of a completely new character or something and made you start over again. Gah. I wont spoil the ending at all, if i havnet already, but gah! Stupid ending. Oh well. Ill be remakign my red dragon disciple soon. Hopefully some people are making some kickass user created modules to play in.

Both of the expansions to the original were unrelated to the first campaign's character so it's not that surprising that this one's the same.

i found it fun, and am actually replaying it as an evil doer right now just to see if the evil ending is better than the good ending. Because the good ending sucked balls. Its kind of slow though.
