Hockey's the only sport I follow- I like playing others, but watching them can be boring. Hockey has a fast pace and continuous flow, goals really mean something because they're dfficult to achieve and so few are made in the average game. It's also full-contact and allows fighting  .
Baseball in particular has so much down time between plays, while Basketball has good flow, but is repetitive and a single basket doesn't really "mean" much to me when they can score about 100 in a game. Soccer and Lacrosse are basically a slower version of hockey (due to the on-foot vs skates factor) and football, well, I'm not sure why football doesn't click with me- I do appreciate the strategic parallel of gaining/losing territory, and points do feel like they count more than in basketball, and it does have a pretty decent pace, but I think the games are much too long, so thre is a sense that it drags despite the pace. I'd probably like football a lot more if it was 3 periods instead of 4 quarters.
