IGN has an article here.
Unfortunetly it will not be a Wii launch title and won't be out until 2007.

I must admit, this looks pretty bad ass. I really liked SSBM so I hope this one is even better. Too bad it is so far off for release. I guess 2007 isn't really that far away thought, right?

It's hitting 2007 now and they sya it will use the GCN controller, not the wiimote.
"When asked about the possibility of Sonic the Hedgehod appearing in the game as well, Shigeru Miyamoto said: "There are probably possibilities for other third parties as well, and it maybe that even know there are corporate discussions going on about including some of these other characters."
Man, if they get a couple more third party characters involved- even though Smash bros essentiually created and dominates the genre, we basicly will have the ultimate incarnation of this genre. That's fanfrellingtastic. I can't think of that ever happening before.

Where's this trailer at? I looked at e3 insider and they don't even have the game mentioned. Though its no surprise about there being a new SSB. That game is teh win.
