There is no MP3 thread, only ones for MP1 and MP2. So this thread may stand.
Of course, I have nothing to contribute about the actual game.

It is the thrird and, as far as I know, last chapter of the story started in MP1. The name Corruption stems from the fact that Samus herself becomes corrupted by phazon at some early point in the game. The Phazon will let Samus enter Hyper Mode, as in the final boss battles in the previous games. It changes some of her attributes and makes her more powerful. Use it up too fast and you'll get normal again, but if you don't use it enough, the juice will build up and eventually corrupt her completely and you'll die. This adds a new gameplay mechanic to the mix; you'll want to sustain this balance between hyper and dead for as long as possible to remain badass and powerful.
Other than that, the grapple hook will also play a more important part in the game than before, as you can now also use it as a weapon of sorts. It allows you to hurl enemies around or pull their shields away from them. You can also rip some doors off the wall with it (awesome! ). You will travel freely between three planets to complete your mission. But the travel itself is not an integral part of the game. You go in your ship and a cutscene plays and that's it. The new Command Visor let's you order your ship to assist you in some of the puzzles in the game. Other than that you got your scan visor and the X-ray and thermal visors will make a return to fill up the remaining two slots.
I think that's it, but I'm too lazy to write more anyhow.

There will be other Hunters active in the game and voice acting will have a bigger role now that Ms. Aran actully has people to talk to.

We did have an MP3 thread pop up around E3 I believe. I'll dig around.
EDIT- Huh. Couldn't find it. Oh well, unles sit does- carry on
I love how they're using the nunchuck's motion sensor in conjunction with the grapple beam, so you're actually jerking the shield or armor from the enemy.

Should I get this. I love 3rd person shooters but I've never liked 1st person shooters on consoles. The controller also seems a bit nightmarish and doesn't feel like you are behind the gun.
The Wii-remote should change that, I hope.
Would you recommend I get this. It looks so good and using the Wii-remote like a gun may seal the deal, although my brother would rather I buy Red Steel lol.

Well, it's hard to reccomend it before the game is actually out, but Retro did a terrific job with the first two, making sure it didn't feel like a straight shooter, with a good amount of emphasis on exploration and puzzle solving included (just with shooter elements).
I'm thinking that, between MP3 and RS, MP3 will have more to it than the straright-forward shooter action of a FPS.

Probably not. Except Jennifer Hale does her grunts and screams. She really doesn't talk much.

I think it would be a shame if she had too little dialog. Unlike Link, I see Samus as a real character like in a movie or a novel with her own history and motivations. So I think she would benefit from having dialog. Where as with Link, I don't see Link like that, I see him as an empty shell that is only meant to represent the one who's playing. Link always has his own history in the games too, but he doesn't seem like a live character to me. Maybe because he is almost always passive in cutscenes and stuff, he's just standing there waiting and listening until you control him again. Sometimes things happen that he has not decided and has no control over, like when Tetra decides to shoot you to the Forsaken Fortress in a barrel. Either that or he makes decisions that anyone would make. Like when a very important character in the game asks him a favor he nods and agrees to do it. You would too, probably. When the character is not as important, the game waits for your input. Therefore, I'm not so sure if I would like Link to have a voice. One of the things I love about the Zelda games is that they make an effort to make you feel like YOU are Link, and I think if Link has a voice it would disrupt that illusion.
However with Samus, as I said in the beginning, I see her as a character in her own right that is distanced from the player and not dependant on the player to "come alive". So I wouldn't mind her having a voice. On the contrary I would like it a lot.

Good points, though the question is who would Samus talk to? She works alone. There is no one to communicate with. SHe does have her thought sequences in Super Metroid and Metroid Fusion which helped.
I wouldn't mind a voice on her either (and like you said, Link must remian the silent protagonist).
