Damn you!
This is good and bad. Good, because hopefully it'll vitalise the PS3 and maybe I'll start getting more bang for my buck. Bad, because I kinda wish I had waited to buy one. While the current PS3 looks good, I would like a slightly smaller one.
Never mind, at least there's the 3.0 update to look forward to.

So the question is does one get the Slim with the 120GB drive or wait for the rumored 250GB drive?

You can still do a DIY upgrade of the HDD in the PS3 slim, so it's not worth waiting forever for.

I wanted to break my TV after I saw the new PS3. Of course they would have to wait until after I bought the 160GB for $499.

Okay, I'm pretty new to this site & I couldn't find a specific TFU thread, so I'm gonna post this here.
I heard that the PS2 version of the game had 5 levels that the PS3 version doesn't have. Does this take away from the game at all or what? I mean... the game was short as it is and with 5 levels missing? That sounds like it could be pretty ******. Can anyone please explain there view of the two versions for me?
That word isn't allowed here - it has to be asterisked out.

If I remember correctly, the PS2 has all the same levels as the PS3/360 version, they're just designed differently as the game engine is completely different.
I don't think you're missing out by not playing the PS2 version, the PS3/360 version is what the game was designed for.

Well, see, I have the PS2 version. I don't yet have a PS3 but I will be getting one here, soon. But I've read around on other websites that the PS2 version has 5 levels that the PS3 doesn't have & I'm wanting the best copy of the game possible, so I wasn't sure whether to keep the PS2 version, or to get rid of it & buy the PS3 version.

Well it sounds like the perfect opportunity to get the PS3 version of the Ultimate Sith Edition. That way you get the three extra DLC levels, and the overall better experience of the next gen physics engine.
I have no idea about these extra 5 levels you speak of, there's only about 9 levels in the main game so it sounds like a huge difference. I've checked wikipedia and some PS2 reviews of the game and none of them mention it.
Also, the new PS3 doesn't play PS2 games so that could be an issue, unless you plan on keeping the PS2.

Oh wow, well that sucks. I planned on selling my PS2 upon buying the PS3 to save a bit of money in a way but I guess now I'm gonna have to keep it. I don't know, though. You may be right about the levels but I could've sworn I seen somewhere that there were 5 levels in the PS2 version that weren't in the PS3. I'll look it up now before I post this reply.
Okay, I can't find where I seen that at anywhere. The only thing I can remember specifically that was said was that in the PS3 version you do not go to Coruscant at all.

No, there's no Coruscant in the PS3 version. I see on Wookiepedia there are some additional areas in the PS2 version.
But then again, the Ultimate Sith Edition has the three new levels of the Jedi Temple, Tatooine and Hoth, and that's only coming out for PS3, 360 and PC.
There is an official Force Unleashed thread here somewhere, perhaps that's a better place to talk about it.

Anybody going to get Uncharted 2? Apparently it's awesome, and I loved the first one.
Also it's got great multiplayer...may be enough to entice me to actually play online.

Yeah, I'll probably get it. Not played the first one though. Is it anything like Tomb Raider? Cause I just couldn't get into that.

I've never played a Tomb Raider game, but from what I understand it has more/better combat and better environment traversal.
Also amazing graphics.

Yeah, I figured there was a Force Unleashed thread somewhere, but I searched for it & couldn't find it.
But I only have one more question about the game, so I'll just go ahead & ask it here.
Does anybody think that the levels that are in the PS2 version that aren't in the PS3 version take away from the PS3 version at all? Because when I get my PS3 I'm trying to decide whether to keep both versions or only get the PS3 version.
