	jp-30 posted: So, I bought a Wii for the family for Christmas. I know to play Gamecube games on it I need to buy 2 Wii Gamecube controllers and a memory card of some sort. Just wondering about saving regular Wii games - is there internal memory that holds save-game information, or do I need to buy a memory card for those too? Does a memory card come as part of the standard Wii bundle? The others have covered the wireless bit. As far as I know GC and Wii memory are 2 quite seperate things. I suggest you seek out a 251 GC Memory Card - you'll only need one. GC recommendations are: Wave Race: Blue Storm F-Zero GX - hard as hell, but practice runs are amazing, you ought to be able to download a gamesave from the net with everything open - or so I'd hope. Star Wars: Rogue Squadron 2 & 3 - Not exactly a surprise is it? Both are well-worth grabbing. Zelda: Wind Waker: Very cute and very smart. Avalanche 1080 - An overlooked snowboarder that can match the SSX games. An excellent sense of speed too. Luigi's Mansion - A hoover 'em up! It is indeed this - truly unique and well worth playing. Paper Mario: The Thousand Year Old Door - This is a brilliant and ingenious RPG with the Mario characters. Tales of Symphonia - I love this for the battle system, story and characters are pretty much Jap-RPG standard. 	jp-30 posted: Thanks. I don't have old GCN controllers, the Wii is my first console since about 1983. I see that the Wii 'classic controller' is the same as the Wii Gamecube controllers (3rd party) that are being sold here. As far as I understand it, you cannot use the Classic Controller to play GCN games (since the Wii essentially reboots as a GCN for GCN gameplay- which is why it has seperate controller and memory card ports for GCN) but i honestly haven't tried. I know you can use a GCN controller to play virtual console games instead of a classic controller, though (though honestly I'd rather use a CC for SNES games). -----signature----- "When your future self tells you to do something, YOU DO IT." 	I was at Target yesterday and I glanced at the place where Wiis would be. None in sight. I already have my Wii (almost 11 months) but curiosity sends me to peek at the section where Wiis should be. 	The next thing I want to get is the Wii fit, but I'll probably wait a few weeks (until after the holidays and after rent). As it is though, you can get a pretty good workout from just the regular games if you throw yourself into it. 	Why are people getting bored of their Wii's? I just bought it and think it's awesome. I've played all of the Wii sports and MLB 2008 so far and I'm loving it. It feels like you're actually playing those sports. Is it too complicated for them or is it that they don't like having to leave the couch/stand up to play? 	There's been a small drought of top-tiered titles since the spring, following the 1-2 hit of Smash Bros and Mario Kart. 	Wow, I haven't posted on here in bit... I got Wii Fit and I've been slow to check my weight loss progress. Like T2Q, I'm waiting for some AAA titles to come out(Zelda mostly, maybe the next Metroid, Star Fox, F-Zero or Kid Icarus). I'm quite embarrassed at the shovelware Nintendo is allowing. I say let this phase pass, for when the economy gets better, or at least 2Q next year, we see some better games released. As a matter of fact I've sold a few of my Wii games because I needed the money and I'm pretty much only playing GH (all 3 for the Wii) at the moment. I really hope the Big N comes out with a backward compatible WiiHD. 	There are few great games for the Wii, even fewer non-Nintendo ones. My Wii only gets pulled out for the odd game of pro evo or smooth moves. I really wish there would be less drivel coming out. 	Hi, sorry about this but it`s stupid question time - apologies if this has already been spoken about but I don`t have time to read through all the previous posts. I just got a Wii for Xmas, and I want to play Gamecube games on it - I`ve got ONE GC controller, can I just plug the one in or do I need to plug in two? And as far as a memory card goes, do I just buy a standard Wii memory card, or do I need a Gamecube one? Apologies for my ignorance, thanks in advance. 	I am pretty sure you'll need a Gamecube memory card.
