So, for those of you with a 360; what do you guys think of the new Call of Duty from Infinity Ward? I only got to play about 5 minutes of it; so I can't really give a full flesh opinion on it yet. For those of you who didn't get beta keys; Gamespot is giving them out if you ahve a registered gamertag with them...

I was watching the trailer for COD 4: MW the other day. It looks pretty sweet. 
I'm looking for a good FPS Multiplayer to play sometime during the Winter holidays or April ‘08. I have three FPS in mind (BF 2142, QW: ET, and COD 4: MW), but I need to try out the demos first before purchasing one of them.

I hate the way that the current game developers have ruined COD. Its disgusting.
Apart from the fact that they changed COD from being a PC game, to a console only game. They have ruined the series completely with COD4.
Im still for the glory days of COD and COD2.

But still COD is a WW2 game series, not modern warfare. Ah ill stop ranting

9.4 at IGN.
Dammit. With this, Rock Band, Mass Effect, Assassin's Creed, and Mario Galaxy dropping ****ing inches from each other, I'm sure many folks are going to have to trade stuff in just to be able to afford ****-Your-Wallet-Fest '07.
I'm not sure why Veteran has been a cakewalk so far...checkpoints have been generous in that aspect. Maybe it'll get soul-crushing "Raining Blood"-hard in later acts.
And the TV-station fight. Man...that took me about 45 minutes to finally beat. Also, the AC-130 mission was incredible. I called a colleague and my best friend last night trying to describe it, and I know I failed. It can't be described.
After playing about five or six "levels" so far, Call of Duty 4 might just be the best game I've played all year, and that includes BioShock. My wife told me that it felt like we were playing "The Unit: The Game."
Granted, The Unit's action doesn't last nearly as long...it does, however, give me the same feeling when I watch it.
The only thing is, I'm The Haysbert in CoD4, and being The Haysbert is ****ing badass.

I can't believe how bold the designers' choices were, as far as those times where you play characters as they're dying. Most games would not do that, or they'd give in to brazen clichés, without giving you time to give a **** about your buddies first.
I played on the tanker-level once in a game of "Sabotage." ****ing intense, even if it ended in a draw (although what else can you expect in a level with only two directions to go, lots of open areas, and choke-points?). Actually, with two teams that know their stuff, "Sabotage" games are ridiculously fun.
And the AC-130 sequence had me giggling. It was a nice release after being hunted and pinned repeatedly on the mission before it.
My only complaint with the multiplayer is that certain maps never show up in the playlists. Frigging "Bloc" and "Countdown" seem to pop up every other game, and yet I've only played a single match on the awesome ocean-tanker level, and there are still two other maps I've never seen.
Whoever designed this game deserves to get showered with gold and hookers.

So, PS3 or PC? What do I get?
I've got what is the equivalent of a 7900M GTX and a Core 2 Duo that I can use, and my brother's PS3. My bro has a 1080p TV too. However, the laptop has a 1920x1200 screen that is very nice.
Wut does I can do?

The game is definitely awesome and intense. I'm still trying to get through the last level and I keep getting owned; I want to throw the controller everytime I die.
Also, everytime I die the world ends in that game. :P
Some of the achievements are pretty interesting as well, and I was surprised that there weren't really any multiplayer achievements.
I've only played a few hours of multiplayer so far but I have encountered the double maps showing up all the time. Some of the new maps are interesting but haven't enountered teh bulk of them yet.
Oh and can a mod please edit the title of the thread to just say Call of Duty 4? MP Beta ended a while ago...also because the game is already out.

The "Charlie Chaplin/Ragtime" cheat is hilarious. Turned it on when I ran through "The Hunted"...I wonder why they went through the effort of cuing up the piano with whatever scripted event was about to take place? The piano started playing a menacing set of notes until we saved the farmer...and then kicked in that "Fourth of July" tune.
A quick tip for everyone:
MacMillan is invincible, so feel free to leave him on Sitting Duck Hill while you make your stand somewhere else.
Personally, I hunkered down in the middle of the bumper cars, and used two lines of Claymores to force enemies to come at me from one direction. That position gave me a nice bead on enemies coming around the corner, and there's plenty of cover to block incoming fire. And if you get overrun, you can always fall off the back of the bumper-car platform, and hide there to restore health. As long as you don't get too deep in the woods, the radiation won't kill you.
I beat it on Hardened, though. That strategy might not work for Veteran.
Also, the next dog I see in real life gets a swift kick in the testicles.
