So I've lost count of the amount of 'sequels' (iterations may be a better term), but finally we're getting a true follow-up to the Beat 'Em Up king (yes, I went there).
Trailer here for those who haven't seen it.
So the question is ... is the trailer just for show, or an indication of what we can expect?

Cool. My favorite fighting game, mostly because its the only one lasted for more than 30 seconds in.

I don't know. Take a closer look. Why would a cinematic for Street Fighter, of all things, include countering? I get the funny feeling this could just be an indication of the direction they might take it. Apparently, some time ago, Capcom asked fans what they'd like to see. Two things came up 1)2D over 3D. 2) Cell shading aka Viewtful Joe. The trailer has that look, to a degree (like a paintbrush on steroids), and the fighting generally takes place on a 2D axis ... as in, there's no running around the arena, just back and forth, despite the camera angles it brings up.
Yeah, might be reading too much into it, but hey, one can dream.

Would be awesome. Definitely hope its 2D over 3D, the 3d ones are too complex for my meager brain to keep up with.
Not sure about the Viewtful animation, but I've never really tried it.

It's nice to see most of the original characters have made it into this game.
Those graphics are def cinematics, I am looking foward to the first in game clip we see. I'm curious as to how they handled this one.
and seeing all those old clips of the arcade gameplay made me so nostalgic.

That last trailer is mostly in-game footage (just not the obvious-cinematic of Ken & Ryu fighting within that black miasma). Everything in that market street level is in-game.

The official website has a few in-game videos, I expect they'll have short videos of all the characters fighting each other but they've only got a few up at the moment.
