Awesome. I wonder if created characters will be able to use lightsabers. It'd be cool if Luke was playable, but I doubt he will be.

I absolutely despised Soul Calibur III, which is the only game in the series I've played. Maybe if Namco does some serious softening of the difficulty, I'll consider renting this when it comes out.

Apparently Vader is PS3 exclusive and Yoda is 360 exclusive so it's not quite as awesome as it first seemed. I'm 99% sure that they'll end up on the other system via downloadable content eventually though.

I genuinely love Soul Calibur, and the news that there's going to be more pointless character tie ins really demeans the series (but then again, the fact that most of the female cast are now wearing less than half the clothes they were wearing in the previous games doesn't do much for it either) and breaks up the story mode.
I'm glad they'll shift a few hundred thousand more units now though.

Wow. The game looks amazing and I can't wait to play as Vader. It'll be great if there are other downloadable Star Wars characters (Maul, Luke, Mace, Palps, etc) or as someone else said this is hopefully the test run for a Star Wars fighting game.
If not, I'm still stoked about kicking ass as a Sith Lord.

Gotta love those intricately rendered character models which are however apparently incapable of facial expressions that would make the characters look as if they're actually swinging a sword in a heated battle.

The game is still a work in progress. I doubt the final version of it will have only stoic facial expressions.
