Are there even 9 Star Wars games worth playing? raised_brow

Probably not, but if that was a serious question, you didn't get the point of my post.

Well, on the Bioshock debate...

All of you haters of the game, just wait until it is high on that list and it crushes your so-called great games.

It truly is innovative, it truly is beautiful, and it truly is outstanding.

Deal with it.

I'm pro-Bioshock but I would not use the word adjective innovative to describe it. System Shock 2 was innovative. Bioshock was a nice next generation version of the system shock 2 gaming experience, but there wasn't a whole lot in the game that wasn't reminiscent of SS2.

Oh and before you fly off the handle, realize I'm only talking about the gameplay here...

You're right. It's not a Quake clone. It's actually Doom clone. My mistake.

Dark Forces definately isn't a Doom clone, that's only a myth. Apart from being each being a shooter, those two have hardly anything in common.

Was Dark Forces the first FPS to introduce grenades (that bounce!) and mines into the gameplay? It was certainly the first place I encountered them in a fps.

It also was the first to include secondary fire to weapons.

Bioshock

Video footage
Discuss Bioshock

"...the gameplay, the story, the graphics. Brilliant. And Freaky. The twist was also great, yet the end level was - well slightly off"

"Proved that video games can be considered art"

#139
Kirby Super Star

Video footage

#138
Homeworld

Video footage
Discuss Homeworld

"Yet to complete it as it’s too friggin’ hard, but absolutely great fun while it lasts. I really need to invest in Homeworld 2 though. The mods looks much better for it."

#137
Sonic

Video footage

"Another one of those games that never ever gets old"

#136
Zoo Tycoon

Video footage

"On paper, I didn't think I'd like this game. The concept of running my own zoo didn't really appeal to me, since I'd never been a big fan of animals. But when I got it as a gift, I absolutely adored it. It just felt right, all the tools and the opportunities were perfect. And I got to name my own animals! Han and Leia: greatest reproductive lions ever"

#135
Medieval: Total War

Video footage

"Positively engrossing - and the series' high point. The board game-style tactical map is far superior to the Rome-style tactical map, which lends itself towards micromanaging."

#134
Castlevania: Symphony of the Night

Video footage
Discuss Castlevania

"My sisters used to play the originals while I was growing up, but they never used to interest me until this game came out. Parts of this game actually frightened me in my dark, damp basement where my systems were held"

#133
Ms. Pac Man

Video footage

#132
Super Smash Bros

Video footage

"The idea: Let's take all of the most popular video game characters and have them fight. The result: the best fighting game ever made. Absolutely amazing."

#131
Eternal Darkness: Sanity’s Requiem

Video footage

"Two words: Sanity Meter. Running low on sanity would result in one of the following: sounds of children screaming, bleeding walls, animated statues, your head falling off, your torso exploding, loss of various limbs, accidentally shooting yourself, seeing your own corpse, walking on the ceiling, a fake volume bar on the screen that adjusts itself, a fake error message indicating that your controller has been disconnected just as you walk into a room full of zombies, and a fake save screen that asks "Do you wish to delete all save files?" with the options "Yes" and "Continue without saving," among other things."
