Gonna have to disagree there- the sheer volume of new content in Brawl could have practically been released as a separate game in of itself.
What? You mean the nine or so new characters (several of which are simply Ryu/Ken-esque clones of each other), online play, extra trophies/stickers etc, and some more Event matches?
Not exactly much new content. Unless we're including the FMVs?

The Oregon Trail
Video footage
Discuss The Oregon Trail
"Often attempted to duplicate, this game just can't be. The thrill of fording a river, hunting a bear, fighting off diphtheria, and so much more. This is proof you don't need graphics to have a great game. Just a great concept that plays itself into a fun idea."
"I tried to ford the river, but my oxen died. One of the best games of all time, a classic that has many many editions to it and spinoffs. "

"One of the most innovative and intriguing games of all time. Adult choices and a twisting convoluted plot that rivals a season of 24 and you have a game that should live on as a classic."
"My standard for story-based gaming."

"Not played any other MGS, so all I know is that this was one great game. Yes, Raiden was a bit of a nonce, but so what? The storyline was great, loved all the stuff with the Patriots and the different Snake’s. Plus the twist at the end was one hell of a “WTH!?” moment for me."
#84
DooM
Video footage
"The first computer game to scare me. Brilliantly designed, part of its genius was in being so fair to the player. You knew when you saw four Barons of Hell impaled on the walls around you, and the next room you came to was filled with bazooka shells (always in short supply), that you were in a world of ****! The psychology behind the level designs was, maybe is, unmatched by any other game. Classic."
#83
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2 (PC)
Video footage
"The story! The FMVs! The super weapons! Tanya and Lt. Commander Zophia <3. The two moments that stand out most in this game have to be the opening titles - with Hell March 2 blaring out the speakers, and the Eiffel Tower tesla coil - destroying as much of Paris as possible - always appealing to a Brit."
#82
Kingdom Hearts
Video footage
Discuss Kingdom Hearts
"This game was my first foray into the action-RPG genre, and what a great game it is. It just rocks hard, Final Fantasy and Disney put together. Who woulda thought? But man, Riku is a bastard. Good thing they dramatically improved his character in the sequels."

Elite was on my list. Really groundbreaking at the time, it felt more like a simulator than a game, and that was great.
Star Wars:Battlefront I have only recently played. It is a fun game, though I'm not convinced it has a huge amount of depth. Cool, though.
Doom was another from my list, and that's my quote. Not much more to add. Pretty much all first person shooters owe something to this game.

Besides new characters and more or less doubling the number of stages, you have: Subspace Emissary, online play, the level-of-the-day Smash Service, the spectator mode which essentially creates a 24-hour Brawl Tv channel, the ability to wage in spectator mode (IIRC, haven't used it yet myself), level editor, game demos, various challenge modes, various event modes, secondary unlocking games (the coin shooter in particular is quite addictive, but there's also a game element to the hammer-smashing wall for unlockables that involves a degree of strategy), as well as a massive soundtrack that would be worth the $50 by itself.
You could put that all on a disc labeled "SSB Melee Expansion Set" and not even bother to update the graphics or gameplay, and still be justified charging full game price for it.

I believe that's my quote for Oregon Trail. What an awesome game. Too bad it's so low. Per capita on graphics, I don't think there's a better game out there.

I'm sorry I doubted you Quest; I'll never do it again.

I'm guessing, this, just like JC 100 OT scenes, was compiled by voters on this board. You guys have good taste.
DK Arcade- one of the best. I especially liked in DK 64 how you play this on an actual arcade machine.
Doom- one of my old time favorites from the 64.
Rebellion- always confused the hell out of me, but a great game anywaise. Anything SW, I love unconditionally.
Oh and Mortal Kombat= GREATNESS

Rebellion is seriously underrated. There is nothing quite like the feeling of managing your own galaxy, even if the Imperial AI won't manufacture Death Stars.
