Well how do you know it's not coming up?
I have my reasons. Specifically, Yane's post saying "I searched the list and VI has gone, but I don't think IV was even on the list..."
Amazing.

The worst Mario Kart game and shouldn't be anywhere near this list.
Mario Kart 64 is an amazing game. May not be as classic as original MK, but this game still rocks the n64. I still find myself playing this today, and everytime someone suggests diddy kong racing, I almost feel insulted.

Um. 10 at a time is kind of a task, but one at a time? c'mon. I can do that.

I think Rogue Squadron's a bit too high on the list, although it is a great game. Who can forget the awesome theme music?

Since I have to ask...mods, will you please edit the title?
#20
Perfect Dark
Video footage
"Perhaps one of the most unjustly forgotten titles of its generation. PD built on the flawless mechanics of GoldenEye with a lot of Rare's "special touch." Multiplayer was a blast, and the game still has some of the best guns of any shooter. Laptop Gun? Farsight XR-20? Hell yes."
#19
Metroid Prime
Video footage
"Samus in FPS mode. great gameplay, good learning curve and challenging bosses, a great introduction to a great series."
#18
Civilization II
Video footage
"Once a year I just like to sit back, have a cool drink, and build up a massive world empire by crushing puny civilizations. It's also fun naming the towns. I've gone from friends names to Star Wars planets."
"Everyone that's played this game knows: Just One More Turn. There's no better achievement than launching into space in 1850 while your opponents train cavalry. Best world builder ever."
"I've dumped so many hours and maybe even days into this game."
#17
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
Video footage
"Drive by shootings while listening to Rod Stewart."
"Ahead of the other GTA’s by so much it laps them, has a nap and then laps them again just because it can. It oozes badassery. It’s basically Scarface but with American gangsters instead of Cubans. Tommy is fantastic and I really with they wouldn’t go away from the Italian-American stereotype. It’s so much cooler than Ghetto or Eastern European. Plus we have Lance Vance and he’s absolutely hysterical “He killed mah brutha! Whadya expect me to do? Mow his lawns?!”"
#16
Mass Effect
Video footage
"The greatest RPG ever made. That is surprising because it is so new. But it is true. It takes what is best in a shooter and what is best in an RPG and turns out something that will last for a very long time. This game can do nothing but rise on this list as time wears on."
"Another Bioware game, and another RPG - my alltime favourite console game. Hands down. Why? For a start it's Bioware - that means a great story, great gameplay, and great characters - I had this on pre-order since it was announced. And I was not disapointed."
"If I had to use one word to sum up Mass Effect, it would be epic. The scope of this game is enormous, and it delivers on nearly every aspect, especially the gameplay. Yeah, maybe the menu design was confusing at first, but we all got used to it, and it eventually came down to "omni-gel or sell?". The characters were awesome, and the game featured some of the best voiceover work ever. This game just reeks of dynamic pwnage."
"The most recent game on my list. Again, another story that has a fantastic story but also a fantastic set of controls and great gameplay. I never knew that an RPG third person shooter could work so well."
#15
Half-Life
Video footage
"The definitive first person shooter of all time. I’ll gladly pick up the crowbar and fight my way back out of Black Mesa any day."
#14
Super Mario 64
Video footage
"SM64 showed us what 3-D had to offer to the world of classic gaming. And what we saw was beautiful"
"Mario gets a 3D makeover. Mario proves himself once to be invincible. Another great game in the greatest video game series ever."
#13
Metal Gear Solid
Video footage
"Metal Gear Solid is my favorite stealth action title."
#12
Super Smash Bros. Melee
Video footage
"My friend and I once played this game for 13 hours, went and got dinner, and then came back and played for another 5. 'Nuff said."
"The ultimate party game. Even better than Guitar Hero."
"The Smash Bros. series is essentially a Nintendo fanboy's wet dream, and the GameCube sequel exceeded expectations. Still one of the most fun party / fighting games around."
"The game's balanced almost perfectly, and the fun is virtually endless."
"though this will be surpassed by Brawl in a month, this took the great design of the first game and set the expectations for more hidden content and gaming goodness than we ever deserved"
#11
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II
Video footage
"Yes it was rushed, yes it was buggy and yes it was missing more pieces than a medieval jigsaw puzzle but my God was it fun! The gameplay was much improved over KOTOR1, there were none of the stereotypical old planets we normally visit and I liked the darker turn that the game took. There was more moral ambiguity with Kreia’s corrupting influence combating her healthy doses of common sense. I only with Team Gizka would hurry up and get out a complete version of the game."
"The ending was botched, big time. But it cannot be over looked. It is dark and exciting. But it is also the most philosophical Star Wars game ever, even more so than the films."

What the heck? Mass Effect at #16? KOTOR II at #11? In the history of video games, surely there are far more deserving titles.

Mass Effect and KOTOR II were definitely on my list, and high up on it. I loved both of these games to death. Every time someone buys one of these games at my work, I get super excited. These games were so freakin' awesome.

Once the Team Gizka thing is finished for KOTOR 2, it will be awesome. Until then, it is too high.
Nice to know that Half-Life got recognized. Still haven't gotten around to playing ME and the first MGS is brilliant. The only PS game I really like, though I did play it on PC.

Surprised to see ME so high up, but it's a well deserved spot.
Not a fan of Vice City or Melee.
KotOR II and Metroid Prime are still on my list of titles to eventually find and play.
