Lets all sit down together to watch the GameTrailers Star Wars gaming retrospectives.

Gametrailers.com has lovingly compiled a 13 minute retrospective movie; part 1 of a series covering the history of Star Wars video games.
This is just the first episode showing the very early years (Atari 2600, original Arcade games), so plenty more to come. The next installment is due in two weeks.
Well worth checking out.
Come, sit down, hold my hand and lets reminisce. How many of those games have you played?
All you little kiddies born after 1985 can **** off though. For now anyway. Come back when they put Super Bombad Racing up or whatever.

Actually if I heard the narrator correctly, the dude who played for 54 hours accomplished his feat in 2005. In any case, that's a sick amount of nonstop gaming. I bet his parents are proud. 
Overall the video was a great stroll down memory lane. I played many of those games back in the day. However I think the hayday of Star Wars gaming didn't arrive until X-Wing was released on the PC back in the 90s.

GT's Retrospectives are always quite entertaining- I gotta try to burn the Metroid one to DVD. Zelda one's not too shabby, either (and even brought to light a new timeline theory element I had not heard previously [though still reject ]). Glad to see a SW one being done.

I loved that arcade game as a kid. I was so pissed when they finally rotated it out of the arcades.

okay, so last week's was the early stuff, this week's was "whole film in a game" and next week's is Prequel era
No Jedi Knight?? X-Wing? Even KotOR? Or will there be like a Best SW Games part?

There're too many 90's oversights- I think part 2 is meant to be "all games based on the OT", while next will be "all games based on the PT", then the subsequent parts will get the EU-based games like XW, TF, RA, DF, JK, RS, SOTE, etc. It's the only possibility that makes sense.

Yeah, they're not doing in chronologically. Part 2 is (a little loosely) "Games where you play through the whole movie, or at least actual movie scenes"
EU games will be covered in due course.
