JanDeis, you haven't done any kind of MAJOR (or AT ALL?!!) Skinning (Characters, Maps, Vehicles), Modding (Level, Single/Multi-player), Demos etc... and you want to tackle a RPG project? C'mon dude.
After reading your PM, I'll be blunt with you -- Your RPG project will never be finished and will never be successful. My advise would be to focus on smaller projects like the stuff I mentioned above. Perfect your coding and modeling skills and do small projects and work your way up.

Why don't you see if you can actually make a working (Star Wars or otherwise) RPG before bothering lucasarts? Have a few friend playtest it, don't release the files publically.
If you manage to get to that point, then you should talk to LucasArts.
Also are you building an engine from scratch, or using some sort of pre-existing RPG server/engine?

I can b one of those friends =D as long as its free ^_^ joke. But no, seriously, id test it out. The thing i liked about SWG so much is that it was factual, they had real SW info in there, nothing made up like in BF 2.

My unofficial group, DeisGames, has decided to scrap "Universe" and save the headache. If this gave anyone else ideas, I guess keep the thread open. If not, Mods feel free to close this down. I'm now working on a fully unique game that violates no copyrights.

That was, um, unneeded? I have a team that would be able to make an online rpg. Because I know what Galaxies did wrong, I know how to make it better. I just don't want to give myself a headache dealing with all the copyright crap.
Now I'm just leading my team into a new game that is all my idea. No copyright infringement anywhere (except a close call where I almost used XSI|Mod Tool for commercial use *eek!*)

Keep you updated on my new game? Ok, here is what I've got so far:
•Small team in the making (I'm recruiting various people for my team)
•Testing out a game engine for use along with XNA Game Studio 2
•Story is about halfway done (will not release it publicly due to me being paranoid about this idea getting stolen)
•Learning C# for the scripting needed for my game

No, that's par for the course around here. It'll swing back on topic when you have something relevant to add on your progress. No need to lock a thread as soon as discussion slows down or there ate one or two off topic posts.
