I say that the combat looks "yay" so far. But this is really just a placeholder for me, as I can't wait till the game after this: Spider-Man vs. Marvel Zombies.

Why would you need destructible environments in a Spider-Man game? I mean, I hardly think Spider-Man is known for his fights causing massive property damage...

I'm just hoping this is like the Spiderman 2 game. I love the fact that you can like swing all day anywhere. I'm guessing this is gonna have Venom in it, with all the black goo over the buildings which is definetly a "yay" for me.

Though, that teaser was more words then anything.

Walls =/= environments. Stuff like Cars, Tables, actual objects is what a Spider-Man game focuses on when they mean destructible environments, and when it is put that way, it kinda is a big thing. Whatever they do, I hope it turns out better than Spider-Man 3.... the destruction was cool but it just felt like you were constantly chucking debris into the air that got in the way of combat.

Again, aside from Rhino, the Goblin, and sometimes Venom and Sandman, he isn't really about breaking tables and cars and junk. And they can always make it to where the villains can do the damage that they do so well. He's actually fairly protective of his environment in fights, compared to people like Sentry, Hulk, and shoot even Superman.

I still don't see what the problem is.

Given the state of New York it's safe to say enough time has passed since similar images were burnt in our minds. Away from that though, I wonder how much of the game will be a revolution (say Mass Effect from KOTOR) and how much it's simply evolving from the previous games.

Wait, is this a real game? If so, this may have just sky-rocketed to the top of my most anticipated games list. And if not, *slams fist* WHY not?

It's still a rumor at this point, but hopefully it will be the game that follows Web of Shadows.

No, by that comment I mean is the game going to revolutionize the way we look at Spiderman; as the movie based games did in comparison to earlier efforts, or be a simple case of it being an upgrade from what has come before?

This game is starting to sound awesome already. I hope it's just a press of a button and you can switch between Spiderman and the dark Spiderman.

Spider Man vs Marvel Zombies posted:
In addition to Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2, the next next Spider-man game, after this fall’s Web of Shadows, will allegedly be entitled Spider-man vs. Marvel Zombies. The game is said to take place in a possible future, 2149, where Marvel heroes and villains have become zombies. Spidey’s mission is to defeat the zombie horde, OR join it, implying there will be multiple choices as far as gameplay goes. It will continue the open-world style of the last few Spider-man games, as well.

Wow I really like the way that sounds too. I don't get how Spider Man is still up and chilling over a hundred years from now. I love the idea of being able to join the Zombie gang and roam NYC as a zombie. Stubs the Zombie just didn't cut it for me, I want to be a Zombie and eat some terrified humans in a very grotesque way.

Yup, that's more of an X-Men thing. "You can always tell where they've been", or at least that was what was said of them back in the olde days.

The only Xmen game I ever really liked was the original cartoon one for Sega. It didn't really have the destructable enviroments.

The one thing I did like about Spiderman 2 the game was that you could pick up the criminal in your web, swing him around and throw him into light posts or mailboxes and stuff. It usually became dented up until you left the area...
