NOA seems to have sneaked in stupid subliminal messages into the game. "Always remember to brush your teeth," and "Never forget to take care of your pets." What the hell?

Upon beating the game, I think I may have been a bit harsh in my review. I find it to be a rather flawed game, but overall it's fairly good. Some parts are even better than Super Mario 64, some parts worse. All in all, a solid buy.

I've had Super Mario Sunshine for the past couple weeks, and I've gathered 33 Shines so far. I've gotten dizzy playing the game, probable becuase of the camera movement. The void zones are just a real killer. I'm just going to take it easy playing it.
Right now, part of me doesn't care if I beat it or not. I'm getting to a point in my life that I can't take quest-based action-adventure games. I made it to the final level of Rogue Leader, but I decided to just quit it there when I couldn't even get into the Death Star superstructure itself most of the time. Right now,I'm not sure if I am going to even get Bounty Hunter and The Clone Wars.

I started a new game and this time around many of the void zones don't seem quite as bad. I find I'm able to beat most of the earlier ones without even dying now. There are a few I'm definitely not looking forward to, so I'm not sure how far I'll go on my second game. I won't even try the red coin secret shine challenges... the mere thought of having to collect red coins in those void zones while racing the clock is truly horrifying, even though you can use FLUDD to do them.

The one red coin level I found a real pain in the rear was the "Sand Bird" level. Sure it's a big bird and all but when the dang bird tips over to fly around towers WOAH!

I didn't think the sand bird level was that bad, actually. The first time you see it flip on its side is a bit of a surprise, but it's not hard to deal with it when you know it's coming. Just stay on the neck. Getting all four blue coins in the level is another matter, though. I did the red coins first, then came back for the blue ones.
I thought the non-"void zone" mini-games weren't too hard, except for the pachinko and blooper racing ones. I hate those bloopers.
On a different note, did anyone else find Shadow Mario to be ridiculously easy to beat? Even if he gets away from you, he eventually stops and waits for you to get free shots on him.

Yeah, the sand bird wasn't too hard. I'm having alot of trouble with the Blooper Red Coin thing (the race was easy...I got it on like the second or third try), and the second roller coaster episode with the baloons.

The funny thing about some of those red coin challenges is that actually collecting the coins isn't the hardest part, getting the Shine is. Getting all eight coins in that blooper episode is pretty simple if you take a green blooper (at least for me), but I died countless times just trying to get up onto the pier again. The red coin episode in Pianta Village is the same way, although much more time consuming.

Yeah, purple is the fastest, green is the slowest, and yellow is in between. Collecting all the red coins is easy with the green one. Getting back onto the pier is by far the hardest part.

Well I managed to get past that Red coin Blooper stage on Ricco Harbor! I used the green one, got all the red coins, tried going to the left side of the beginning dock and circling around.
I nearly ended up skidding twice into the silly fishing boats on the dock, then tried to jump on the dock with the green one a couple of times to hit the shine.
What was really funny though was when I somehow managed to dismount from the green one to the yellow one then next thing I know im riding a yellow blooper LOL. Finally managed to hit the shine with the yellow blooper.
