"der kampf des jedi" von stackpole (das letzte sw buch dass ich gelesen habe) ist erstaunlicherweise so ziemlich frei von dummen fehlern. eine der besten "leistungen" eines übersetzers seit langem!
in der romanfassung von EPI heißt es auch "Kapsel-Rennen"; Pod= Kapsel... wirklich alles andere als gelungen!

Der älteste noch existierende Thread der GSFF 
Ich hab gerade beim Bestellen von RotS CD und Buch ein paar deutsche Vorschläge gesehen. "Jedi Trial" als "Die Feuertaufe" geht ja noch. Aber "The Cestus Deception" mit "Obi-Wan Kenobi und die Biodroiden" zu benennen, mag vielleicht dem Inhalt gerecht werden, aber es klingt doch richtig richtig schlecht. Belegt hiermit den Zweiten Platz direkt hinter "Mace Windu und die Armee der Klone", better known as "Shatterpoint". Obwohl... vielleicht sogar schlechter.

amazon.de hatte aber ne kleine Ecke an der Seite mit "verwandten deutschen Büchern" oder so. Gesucht hab ich das bestimmt nicht. Ich weiß ja nicht mal, wie die letzten NJO Bücher auf deutsch heißen. Will ich das?

Seit ich angefangen habe, Terry Pratchett auf Englisch zu lesen, überlege ich ernsthaft, ob ich es nicht auch bei anderen Romanen tun soll ... aber wenn sie billig sind, kaufe ich Übersetzungen gerne (wie neulich die ersten 3 Bücher von "Jedi-Padawan" in einem Band für fast 10 Euro).

Ich habe nur sehr wenige Übersetzungen gesehen die unter dem Preis des Orginals liegen...
Bei sowas ist die Buchpreisbindung ein Hindernis.

Ich finde übersetzungen der titel wie Bacta War = Bacta Piraten ziemlich komisch. Was hatten die für ein problem damit?
Und jezt auch noch Dark Journey (NJO Band 10)...heißt im deutschen Jainas Flucht.
Warum haben die in Bacta War den Namen von Boosters Schiff, Errant Venture, übersetzt? Hätten sie englisch lassen sollen.
