Strange question.... komische Frage

Okay, so reply in English or German, I don't care which, but I have a weird thing to talk about. A good online friend just told me this:
you haven't seemed happy since you left [Germany... All I know is you haven't been the same since you came back... at least since I've known you
For those of you who know me... do you think this is true? Has anyone else noticed this?

If you like to know my honest opinion... From what you told me and the way you told me, it seems that your life got harder and so you seem to be less happy. Sadly. 
But I don't know if it depends on leaving Germany or if it's 'just' the circumstances.

I think, Timo meant, that he maybe changed during his stay in Germany and his friend has the feeling that he's not the same Timo he had known before. Right?
I think it's very much possible that you changed during your stay here in Germany, just because all of those impressions you had being here for that long time...

Well, are you happy in the US?
I know there's a big difference between American and German mentality, which could be a reason as to why someone changes when being in a different culture for a longer period of time.
It's natural, I guess.

Sure I do. No friends, no job, no money, no insurance and bad health. But the question is, once I had these things would I still be unhappy and missing Germany? Or is my unhappiness tied to these things?

Na, wenn die Situation anders wäre, würde es dir wohl auch besser gehen, oder nicht? Im Allgemeinen gesehen, meine ich.
Deine jetzige Situation scheint dich arg zu belasten, verständlicherweise. Wie du schreibst, keine Freunde, keine Arbeit, keine Kohle und dann noch gesundheitlich eingeschränkt?
Das würde jeden belasten. Egal in welchem Land man gerade sitzt.
Excuse my lapse to German. I didn't feel like straining my mind too much.

Ugh... I went to the airport last night to pick up my brother from a business trip and it reaaaaaaaally made me want to fly to Germany. I miss it so much. Sabine to answer your question, no it's not because of any one person. I miss most everything about living there.

You know, I've been hearing it a lot lately, that a whole bunch of people would gladly pack their bags and come back to Germany.
Considering how the average German person keeps arguing how hideous our country is, it's nice to know that there are still some people who consider Germany to be nice.

I had a conversation with my brother about this last night on the way home from the airport. I feel I would need to make a decision and then once that decision is made, plan out a road map for how this would happen and what I would need to do/have done before I actually made the move. It would be a major thing this time, not a year abroad. I would be selling a lot of my stuff, especially the big stuff, and staying in Germany for a few years or more.
