    I'd live in Allegheny.

    A strange proposal, though.

Beware if you click you might see a bad word that rhymes with "itty", but don't worry, it only refers to Canadian Music.

Hilarious map of San Francisco Bay Area
(can't believe nobody's posted this yet)

Language warning: the s-word appears several times.

Just a quibble: they should have switched "Asia" & "Gay Town USA".

And the "Mexico" under SF should actually be renamed "Phillipines".

That's is an interesting map. Strange to think that Ankara would be in Pennsylvania or eastern Ohio and that DC would be in extreme eastern Turkey.

Mostly that reminds me how small Europe is :p

This is, in fact, not at all an exaggeration of the CA viewpoint.

This was a little interesting. I didn't know that Mexico's official name is United Mexican States.

Also, I never cease to be amused by Saudi Arabia - the fact that the royal family named the country after themselves.

lol @ the Canadian provinces map

I actually didn't know that about Mexico either.

I did when I was traveling around Europe for a semester try to get patches in every country with that country's name in the native language. There were some (like Suomi instead of Finland) that were particularly surprising as they're so far from the English version it's unreal.

I always like being reminded that I have the least distinctive dialect in the US (Central Midlands) :p Except I guess that I say pop instead of soda.

Huh. That map actually does get my dialect sort of correct- I pronounce "father" like "bother", and "caught" like "cot". I lack the southern accent endemic to most of West Virginia, however.
