Half way to their target ($260,000) of $400,000 on day 1, and raising at about $1000/minute. I think I can stump up $30 or so.

Before you say 'Who?' kiddies, Monkey Island 1 & 2, Day of the Tentacle, Grim Fandango, Full Throttle, plus newer stuff like Psychonauts, Brutal Legend, Deathspank...

I pledged $15 last night.

 

It's still less than 24 hours. They hit $400,000 in under 8 hours!

I put in $30 yesterday.

 

I woke up this morning and saw this just as they hit the $400000 goal. I've loved Schafer and the Doublefine guys for a long time and really want to see the documentary, so I ended up pledging $30.

It feels great to have (marginally) helped to make this a great day for some people I really respect and like.

 

At the time I post this they are at $902,000...still under 24 hours I believe. I guess this just proves how dead the adventure genre really is.

Just pledged $30 to the cause! I decided that I wanted the HD documentary downloads and soundtrack. The current total at the time of posting this was $1,604,258 so over four times the original target!

Given how far off the game is, right now I'm excited for the documentary. I love looking into game development and seeing the all the work that goes into it.

That's nearly ten times what they wanted! It's great to know that every bit extra will go towards making the game bigger and better. I can't wait to see what they get up to.

 

I know it's 15 years ago, but they have exceeded the $3,000,000 budget of Grim Fandango.

 

I've been enjoying the updates and documentaries they've been doing. The great thing about the documentaries is that it's not just about the game, it's about the workings of the company and everything surrounding it too!

Oh, and Ron Gilbert has a new game out next year (I think). I don't think it's this one due to art and play style, but thought you guys might appreciate a heads up if you didn't know about it.

 

Are you talking about The Cave? It looks like a lot of fun.

 

Just watching the latest episode of the video documentary and it is looking so good right now. There's some demo animation in there which is funny. Also, Amnesia Fortnight is coming up! It might affect the work on this but Costume Quest came from it as well as other games, so it's a good thing.

 

The latest episode of the documentary was a bit doom, but I'm confident that they'll figure it out. Who else has been watching the documentaries? I'm finding it to be really interesting, seeing all the ins and outs and behind the scenes processes that go on at Double Fine.
