TV Discussion Star Wars Detours

I don't see this lasting very long. Did any of the networks pick it up? The trailers kind of reminded me of spongebob...

 

I agree with Drewton, a well-written quality show is what I want to see. I mean, don't get me wrong, things like the matte painting, "Go haunt Yoda," and the Ackbar part were funny, this just isn't what I want to see.

 

Maybe a show before the PT or after the OT. Anything else is likely to conflict with EU.

 

After OT would definitely conflict with EU under Lucas's supervision.

 

True, so maybe something before TPM or something set in the Old Republic?

 

A show during the 1000 year peace between the New Sith Wars and the Rise of the Empire would be the best bet. No idea what it would be about but it could work

 

Peace is boring...

 

They could have some small scale war, or follow some Corellians traversing the galaxy and getting into some type of hi-jinks.

 

As long as Lucas doesn't find some way to teleport a TCW character back in time, I wouldn't mind.

 

Ahsoka's great grandmother could be in it. This is just the beginning of the Tano Saga...

 

And Anakin's great grandfather could be her master. I don't mind Ahsoka as a character, but she's way to powerful for a Padawan..

 

Yeah those are detours all right.

 

If there's one good thing I can say about this show, it's that Ahsoka isn't in it (so far).

 

I was thinking something like the show Firefly (I think it is) but in Star Wars

 

I'd welcome something like Avatar or Young Justice, with the right blend of "lightness" and humor as well as epic, serious stuff. And in 2D please.

 

Personally I would prefer a tv series with the graphics of the TOR trailers. Deceived, Hope and Beginning, I think they are.

 

Hah, such a show would be more expensive than what they're projecting for the LAS.

 

Actually, the TOR cinematic trailers are Deceived, Hope, Return, and recently, HK-51 Revealed.

 

Figures. Avatar and the Incredibles took years to make. Would be cool though.

I have loved those cinematic trailers ever since I first saw Deceived. I actually have them downloaded because they don't playback well on the TOR website.

 

Unfortunately, Seth Green, like Filoni, has been indoctrinated.

 

I'm still looking forward to this show, but it might get old in a hurry.

 

I dunno, the characters are pretty much parodies of themselves, so having her appear might not be a bad idea.. Think of Jar Jar asking why people hate him. Dex: "Well, how honest do we wanna be here?"
