Added Riptide, Ascension and TOR: Revan. Updated Choices of One, Deceived, Fatal Alliance, Red Harvest, Knight Errant, Gambit: Steath, Gambit: Siege. Also updated relevant author rating information.

I added Paul Kemp to the Authors list since he's hit the 3 book minimum. He's ranked 6th out of the 21 authors (and collaborations) who've written at least 3 novels in the Star Wars universe.

I also added Christie Golden to the Authors list since she's also hit the 3 book minimum. She didn't do well at all as she's ranked 20 out of 21. Her book Ascension (5th lowest rated EU book overall) also dropped Fate of the Jedi in the 4th worst SW series and lowest series of the Del Rey era.

I also added The Old Republic book series. It ranks 13th out of the 18 series.

Projects for the future for these rankings include rankings by era (e.g. Prequel Era, Legacy Era, etc.) and rankings by the year the books came out (in short, see the downward trend!)

    Master List:

    1. 9.52 Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (Stover)

Okay so I was going through this thread and I realized that after #75 or so on the book rankings, the message gets cut off (I assume due to post length)....so everything after that seems to be effectively gone, which really sucks.

Well the search function is working again, so couldn't you find every review thread that way? I'm willing to help if you don't have the time.

EDIT: There's a good amount of review threads in the inactive Literature Review Forum.

Posts have been truncated at I think 10,000 characters in the move. It's not a problem with the database, though, just the import script. So we decided to go live even with the problem, and once we get the import process ironed out we can reimport the truncated posts with minimum downtime from the files we still have. So they're not gone forever, just for the moment.

Why isn't my book in the top 10? I thought you all loved me.

Actually, many in Lit tend to prefer the Exile. And Karpyshyn did his level best to crap on everything KotOR II-related that he could with the Revan novel. Revan was a big part of me (temporarily) burning out on Star Wars almost a year ago.

    .....

I shall no longer speak to you again, Are-Cee-Nineteen-Ninety-One. I'm off to do a public reading of my novel. Beatnik style. In a little club I know down the way. I think I shall read the sections where I lament my worldful of woes to my wife or that exiled chick or T3 or a wall. Those were my favorite scenes. Karpyshyn conveyed my inner turmoil just right.

Cute. I avoided Revan for that reason, RC. And interestingly, it was KotOR II which got be back into fandom after the Sacrifice thing...

I think it's quite interesting looking at number of books and average ratings. Hope this thread (and many others) have their missing content back soon!

As god awful as Revan was (Minus the Sith Emperor parts, those were cool). The Old Republic pretty much redeems the series from it's terribleness (Most likely because other writers were on it along with Drew K )
Annihilation is more then likely going to suck hard though and will piss me off but I'll read it out of wanting to know more of how it relates to TOR like how I did with Revan. I am slave to the system

Well. I'm definitely not buying Annihilation. But I'll probably pick it up from the library some day.

Are the lit. reviews being phased out? Haven't seen one for Annihilation yet.

Or is this a consequence of the forum moves?

Can we get this updated for Kenobi?

It would be interesting to see where JJM features in the author averages, I believe he has know 'qualified' with at least 3 books published...

That would be nice, as I have been gone awhile and so much has changed with the forums I can't find much!
