This thread is essentially where you can write/discuss where you would like to see TCW characters go, how they would tie-in to ROTS and beyond, that type of deal.

    For example:

Ashley Eckstein explicitly mentioned Ahsoka and the Wolfpack together, so does that mean that Wolffe could be involved with Ahsoka's fate?
A Gray Jedi could be a great addition to TCW, one who's an antagonist but not necessarily a villain.
That's kind of the idea of this thread.

I have one Fanon about it... The whole story takes place in an Alternate Take on the clone wars. Maybe an In universe Holodrama Show, maybe a vision by Luke to answer the question "What if Anakin Skywalker had an apprentice" or an Alternate Universe created by Powerful Forces in the Galaxy.;)

TCW and fanon go together like peanut butter and jelly.

I have been saying TCW is fanon since I found out how disrespectful it is to everything that came before it.

What if one day while Lucas and Filoni were writing a new stupid story about Ahsoka being with an important character and they get sucked in a some mystical portal ultimately leading them to the show they've created. Revenge... =P~

-Hutts join CIS. Jabba remains loyal to Republic. War breaks out in Hutt Space and by the time of the Outer Rim Sieges Jabba has pretty much annexed much of his rival's territory. Due to his past history with the Hutts, Anakin urges the Republic to swallow up as much of that territory as possible before Jabba can, leading to a partition of Hutt Space, with Jabba gaining much more power than he had and cementing an alliance with the Republic to account for why his hegemony in the region is tolerated later on.

-As the Republic begins to push the CIS back, Ahsoka is manipulated into giving up her half of the Nexus route coordinates. Sidious gives Dooku the other half. However, the fact that Ahsoka confesses her mistake pretty much makes her a scapegoat. Dooku misleads Ahsoka into believing that an attack on Coruscant is imminent via the Nexus route, so Ahsoka urges the defenses to be bolstered along the route to intercept the attack. It is believed that this will be a last desperate attack by the Separatists due to diminishing resources. However, Dooku uses another route to slip past the Republic defenses and attack a largely undefended Coruscant. Meanwhile a proto-Death Star (mostly just a shielded skeletal weapons platform) travels along the Nexus route to engage the waiting Republic Fleet, supported by several support ships. There are no weapons plans, no vulnerable exhaust port, etc. The Republic fleet has to beat back the superweapon by sheer force as part of the fleet has to flee back to Coruscant to rendezvous with other ships responding to the emergency. The Republic fleet suffers critical losses but emerges victorious. Tarkin sees the weapon as a valuable asset that should not be discarded. The use of such a weapon becomes known to many Separatists that abandon the CIS and begin flocking back to Palpatine as the one that can triumph over such evil as he continues to centralize political power.

-An invitation is offered to the Republic to open negotiations by Dooku. The Republic rejects, but Bail, Padme and several others see that it may be a trap, but see the prospect of peace as being too attractive to ignore. During the meeting Dooku elaborates on the CIS' political climate and sort of plays out a Palpatine-style act about how he regrets that they've so often found themselves at odds but that it is because the CIS senate and the Geonosians (in the case of the AOTC incident) forced his hand as sovereign entities and through democracy and that General Grievous is sometimes too difficult to keep on a short leash and uses him as a scape goat for much of the war crimes. The whole time there is tension that a trap might be sprung but it never is. Padme is hopeful that this is a promising first step on the road to peace. Anakin learns of what has happened and tells the Jedi Council, at which time he and Eeth Koth are sent after them fearing the worst but discover that everyone is OK. As they are leaving CIS space, a CIS admiral OC aboard a cloaked battlecruiser decloaks and engages them accusing the Jedi of violating CIS space as an act of war. The entire group is captured and taken aboard the cruiser where he tries to coerce the Jedi into broadcasting confessions of illegally trespassing and acknowledging CIS sovereignty and legitimacy. The Admiral keeps the Jedi separate and lies to Anakin telling him that he has already killed Eeth Koth, but Anakin doesn't fall for it. Then the Admiral begins executing the members of the delegation. Anakin continues to refuse until he reaches Padme, at which point Anakin consents to doing it. Anakin exploits the opportunity to break free and rescue the delegation. Anakin shuts down the ship's tractor beam and cloaking device and guides Padme and the others to a shuttle to escape, though Anakin insists that he goes back to save Eeth, though due to overwhelming opposition converging on the hangar, Anakin must leave Eeth behind. As the shuttle gets clear of the battlecruiser, the Admiral gives chase. Other CIS ships show up in the system though and destroy the battlecruiser. Dooku contacts the shuttle explaining the the Admiral was not acting under orders and offers to escort the shuttle out of CIS space.

-Following the above, Padme tries once again to convince Palpatine to open negotiations with Dooku. He refuses. She then approaches Yoda trying to make use of their history together. Yoda initially refuses and gives her the "Dark Side will forever dominate his destiny" spiel, but instead ultimately decides to agree to open negotiations with the CIS. Padme thinks that Yoda is on board for a sincere attempt at negotiations, while the Jedi Council decides to exploit the situation as part of an assassination attempt. The negotiations are to take place on neutral ground. The assassination attempt is botched and the Jedi are exposed as completely betraying the good faith of the CIS and appearing as the bad guys. Anakin is upset that Padme is pushing for negotiations, but is furious at the Jedi for using her as a distraction while they plot an assassination and putting her in danger. Padme is also angry at being manipulated and that the Jedi may have ruined her last chance for peace. Palpatine "regretfully" reprimands the Jedi publically in front of the senate.

-We get more insight into how the clones think and how they respond to questions regarding what will happen after the war ends. One of the clones is concerned about the future of the Kamino facilities and the fate of the non-mature "brothers." Obi-Wan casually mentions that once the war is over that there won't be further need for the clone army and that the Republic cannot afford to continue to maintain the facilities indefinitely. This strongly offends Cody who believes that once the war ends that any "non-mature" clones will be discarded. The clones begin to whisper about what will happen to them once the war is over and realize that the youngest of them will continue to advance in age rapidly and that they know nothing except war. Sidious then begins to approach the clone commanders, either directly or indirectly, about how the Jedi are trying to end the war which will destroy their lives while Sidious claims that even after The Clone Wars ends, enemies to the Republic will remain and that there will always be a place for them in the Republic. He then begins to slowly lay the ground work for Order 66. I say this to account for why Palpatine would say "the time has come" (as though the clones knew the order was inevitable) as well as why the clones begin to refer to Palpatine as "lord," which had otherwise been used by those like Nute Gunray in reference to Sidious the Sith Lord and never really in reference to Palpatine the Chancellor of the Republic.

This is a story I want to see in TCW. Poor girl... An example that not all CIS members who were part of the CIS were just in it for the money...

To show that not all CIS officers who stayed loyal to the Separatists were evil and only in it cause of money!

It would be awesome to see a cool new CIS commander and explore his/her backstory and show that the republic is not all that good as TCW makes them look.

Clones are as evil as one can assume. The Republic politics usually makes the biggest mistakes that create most of it's enemies like Grievous...

Mod Edit: Baiting is a no,no. Please don't.

In TPM, the Trade Federation is said to control many star systems. These systems or the sectors in which they reside could have seceded from the Republic and joined the CIS as member states, thus giving the Trade Federation a wing under its control in the Separatist Parliament. The IGBC, Corporate Alliance and other cartels may also have similar arrangements, resulting in Separatist Senators like Voe Atell voting in lockstep with their puppetmasters' goals. Suppose there is a Trade Federation-controlled world that stays within the Galactic Republic because of its staunchly Loyalist leader.

During the U.S. Civil War, Texas almost went through this. Despite being a slave state and politically quite pro-Confederate, its Governor at the time of the C.S.A.'s formation, Sam Houston, opposed secession. However, he was forced out by the Confederates and replaced with someone who would toe the line. Houston did not want to fight a micro Civil War within Texas so he felt he had no choice but to concede. Other states, such as Missouri and Maryland, retained slavery while remaining in the Union. All along the Mason-Dixon line, there were political battles waged to take states into either the C.S. or U.S. side of the war.

In this hypothetical TCW story, such a political battle is fought to keep this frontline planet inside the Republic. It's a planet similar to Venus, with an incredibly dense atmosphere filled with valuable resources that you'd normally find on gas giants, only with dozens of high plateau continents reaching up into the habitable band of the atmosphere. The planet is under the almost exclusive economic control of the Trade Federation and associated companies. This is the allegedly Republic-aligned TF in control, but the localised division chief executive is a personal ally of Nute Gunray and the CIS. The majority Duros (indigenous subspecies) population is largely in favour of the CIS, being both affluent and free-spirited, but the planet's leader is a die-hard Loyalist of the same anti-corporatist variety as Padme Amidala. He is backed by the minority Nikto population, descendants of the migrant workers brought in to do the risky manual labour at the resource extraction facilities, who fear that the CIS would give the Duros majority enough leeway to act out on their speciesist tendencies. It's in the interests of Gunray and the pan-Galactic TF to drag this planet into the CIS so they team up with the HyperCommunications Cartel to spread misinformation and propaganda to enrage the Duros into political action against their planet's leadership. They take to the streets and demand an exit of the Republic. This enflames inter-species tensions between the Nikto and Duros and riots occur. The leadership take on autocratic powers to quell dissent while still trying to appease both species, only angering both of them. This hyper-tense situation continues and causes concern among Loyalist leaders on Coruscant. The Republic Senate, however, is at deadlock due to the CIS-aligned senators' slick, PR-friendly obstructionism. Lott Dod spins his tale of the TF's "concern" and the Senate refuses to prevent the HyperCommunications Cartel's localised division from doing business in the system since this is a matter for the "systems to decide".

However, the planet's leadership is effective at preventing secession. Growing impatient with the situation, Gunray takes a flotilla of CIS Navy vessels and attacks the system. His attack fails as the Republic Navy is able to arrive before he is able to do any real damage. He's no military leader and is easily outsmarted by the Republic fleet's commander.

Despite losing badly, the CIS attack inspires the Duros population and causes inter-species tensions to rise even further. More riots take place in the capital and the planet's leaders call on the Republic Navy and Grand Army to assist in containing them. Unfortunately, the Republic's fleet commander, while competent, is also a speciesist. She personally sympathises more with the Duros due to their perceived closeness to humans relative to the Nikto and their origins as one of the original spacefaring races. When the riots boil over and immediate action needs to be taken by the LAATs in the vicinity, the fleet commander orders them to fire on the Nikto. The resulting carnage terrifies the Nikto, who now feel that the Republic has betrayed them, a feeling that is validated when the fleet commander earns a medal for her actions. A full-blown inter-species war erupts as extremists among the Nikto turn to terrorism to protect themselves from the emboldened Duro speciesists, who in turn step their efforts up to genocide.

The planet's leadership is overthrown by a popularly-backed coup (at least among the Duros) and a jubilant Nute Gunray swoops in to remind the new leader who he is beholden to. Naturally, he gets his economic concessions. Republic is shocked by this turn of events and sends a large battlegroup, spearheaded by Anakin Skywalker and the 501st Legion, to retake the system. The clone troopers easily defeat the Duros militia in open battle, having learned from the mistakes made on Umbara, but face a population that is almost uniformly opposed to their presence. Even the Loyalist Duros are disapproving. To them, the Republic stifles industriousness while the CIS encourages it and frees the burden of responsibility from the righteously powerful. The Nikto terrorists are people whom Rex personally despises while sympathising with the Nikto people. However, the Republic's main priority is to secure the resources and the clones are directed to treat the Nikto as expendable. This directive blows up in their faces and the Nikto turn on the clones, who barely escape and whose ranks are decimated.

Near the end, Nute Gunray steps out of a shuttle and smugly says, "Ah, veectory!"

    The CIS wins.

Thanks. I was thinking of human supremacists at first, but then I realised supremacists of another species would be more inclined to be Separatist rather than Loyalist. And some people here love their CIS victory stories. ;)

I have a few more ideas about human supremacists working with the Republic, and one about Sith cultists...

Lets keep this thread on topic and talk about TCW fanon, alright.

    On Topic:
I've long though that its Wolffe who is meant be the one to shoot Ahsoka in the back. My reason for thinking this comes mainly from Ashley's comments on a ForceCast interview but I think Wolfpack being an entirely original group available to do the job really adds credibility to the possibility. I also find it interesting that Ahsoka has lead Wolfpack more times than she has the 501st.

I kind of got the impression that Ashley wouldn't yet know what Ahsoka's fate is. Dave said that he was working it out with Lucas. And I thought the voice actors have mentioned that they get the scripts on short notice. Unless they already recorded Ahsoka's last appearance, then I don't get the sense that Ashley would know. She has said that she has read fan theories and stuff like that I think. So her reaction might just be to fan response and speculation(?)

I want to see a political rival to Palpatine from within the Republic. One thing that's always felt odd to me that it hasn't been explored (on screen anyway), is that there is nothing in Palpatine's rise to power that requires that he be able to use the Force. It's a lot of political manipulation, something that anyone with the intelligence and charisma could do - Sith or otherwise. His rise to power is modeled off of Hitler's and Caesar's (and various other dictators), which of course do not require any kind of supernatural ability. Palpatine can apparently get glimpses of a future that's always in motion, but that's about it. Any advantage the Force gives him is that he also has an apprentice (trained in the Force) that can do his dirty work. But even then, things like assassinations need not be carried out with a lightsaber.

Given how volatile real politics can be and how there are always rival parties to denounce the current leadership and that boast that they can do better, I'd like to see Palpatine unexpectedly challenged from within and be forced to rely solely on his own political genius to come out on top.

And also: In TPM Qui-Gon tells Anakin that he wishes it were true that a Jedi could not be killed. He obviously wasn't referring to the Sith, since they were believed to be extinct at that point and Qui-Gon had not yet fought Maul. And full scale wars apparently had not occurred in a long time, so I doubt he was speaking of Jedi being pitted against large armies as they are in TCW. So I just take that to assume that in their line of work as peacekeepers they will occasionally be killed by hostile individuals or groups. They aren't supermen. And though it used to be said that Lucas and Filoni were really adamant about that back in Season 1, I just get the feeling that it's become relaxed.

I know that TOR has also sort of brought the Jedi down/elevated highly trained non-Jedi to help bridge the difference a bit. There's a featurette for Hostage Crisis that makes reference to Cad Bane as being something of a Jedi killer, though that's not really been explored. Yet rather than feel threatened by that kind of skill, Palpatine seems to see it as an asset and use Bane as a resource.

Rather than Jedi being sent on an assassination mission against Dooku, a large part of me would like to see an episode centered around a covert ops group of non-clone Republic soldiers being sent behind enemy lines to take out Dooku. The episode would be set up much like Nomad Droids in that there would be a larger conflict going on but that the story would closely follow the group as they move from locale to locale, not really stopping to admire the crazy events going on around them.

I say they would be non-clones to make it easier for them to infiltrate the CIS (if they all had Jango's face it would give them away). And perhaps the story would consist of a new cloner industry or even just a military academy advertising these new units to Palpatine as a means to try and win a defense contract. Palpatine would then covertly assign these units to attack Dooku, both as a means to test them, but also as a means to test Dooku. For instance they might be assigned as part of the 501st under Anakin, but Anakin and the clones would not be aware that these individuals have a different mission, and might not even be aware that they aren't clones. Perhaps Anakin is given a mission to attack a CIS outpost, but the mission is just a means by which the clones can slip behind enemy lines and make an insertion to carry out their true objective and they go AWOL from the clones, ditch their clone armor, pose as Separatists and undergo a very elaborate infiltration to reach their target, meanwhile the clones and Anakin are fighting their own battle (which is why I say that there would be hecticness all around, but that events really wouldn't slow down to allow the audience to take it all in (kind of like how Adi Gallia is getting beaten up in the background as the droids evacuate the ship and go on their own adventure).

So, like Nomad Droids in that sense, only without the kid friendly tone and painful homages.

No. I was proposing something more complicated that I probably didn't explain clearly. I mean that non-clones (or at least non-Jango clones) are hand picked by Palpatine to assassinate Dooku as a means of testing these soldiers' abilities, and only a very small circle knows of their true mission (to assassinate Dooku).

These soldiers would be assigned to the 501st. Anakin and the rest of the 501st would thing these guys are inexperienced replacements for other clones that have fallen. But they are not normal soldiers, they are covert operatives on an assassination mission that Anakin doesn't even know about (I actually wouldn't use Anakin, probably another Jedi so that Anakin doesn't run into trust issues with Palpatine).

So for instance the Jedi and clones believe they are attacking a Separatist outpost. However, the covert troops have been tipped off that Dooku is on the planet (by "Palpatine's" intelligence that similarly locates Grievous). So the covert troops pretty much go AWOL, since attacking the Separtist outpost is not their mission and the mission to attack the outpost, while believed to be the true objective by the Jedi, is really just an elaborate setup to insert the covert unit behind enemy lines to go after Dooku. Since they are only a small group, they can't exactly go in guns blazing and attack Dooku, so it's an elaborate infiltration to get into Dooku's stronghold, possibly posing as CIS workers after ditching the clone armor, etc. And attempting to kill Dooku.

These covert troops would remain loyal to the Republic, they would just be operating in a highly secret mission and sort of doing their own thing to reach their objective (Dooku).

Perhaps it would be Rex commanding the Legion on his own, so that if he finds out about this covert mission behind his back, he begins to question the authority of Palpatine. A textbook clone officer would not care if Palpatine does something like this, but Rex has already begun to question the purpose of the war and actively went against the authority of a Jedi General. Depending on where they'll take Rex's character arc, this could build towards its conclusion in some way.
