I people, I am a member of a Brazilian Fan Club - The Sao Paulo Jedi Conciul. And hope to share a lot of information, and now a lot of people from here about Star Wars.
I guess it was when i have 7 or 8 years old, and see for the first time Star Wars in TV, The classical Trilogy, after that became love.
Yes, I have a lot of them. The Expanded Universe, for me, is the best part of Star Wars. I love the Comics, and the Books.
Hola, Sergio. Welcome to theforce.net; hope you enjoy your time with us. Have you checked to see if we have a Brazilian Fan Force? That would be where your countrymen and women, would have tried to gather and talk, or organise events for themselves in their region. For instance, my local Fan Force, London, has organised meets at conventions, that sort of thing. And if there isn't a Brazilian one, you and Clarizabel could be the start.
Hey, there's a Fan Force here, I am part of this group - The São Paulo Jedi Council. We have bimestral encounters, and one time in a year, we made the São Paulo Jedicon.
Welcome Sergio! It's cool to have a new face from Brazil here. Do you know what? Brazil is one of the countries I would love to visit one day. It has some fascination for me. Btw I'm from Germany, so it takes some more years if I ever manage to go there. Just a quick note: It's not that much liked to see double posting. You can avoid it by using "edit" on the one hand and hitting "reply" (right side of the post) for every post you want to answer before you actually answer. Then those quoted posts will be listed within one post. If you want, you can test it here. Have a nice stay!
Investigated. Your São Paulo Jedi Council is a splendid-sounding fan club, however not apparently a "Fan Force" in the way that TFN refers to them. If you scroll down our front page, you may see that we have geographical forums where members from the same part of the world can meet each other. We call those Fan Forces. This link goes to Fan Force: Latin America, showing which ones we have.
Ok. I can say the same, someday i pretend do know germany, and other countrys in Europe. Sith, we are not a "Fan Force", we are a independent fan club since 1999.
Wow, that's a long time!! How many members are you still? I guess you had tons of members in the first years and lost some during the years - like most fanclubs and message boards.
Yes, Skiara. It's kind of thing happened and today i guess he have at leat 2000 active members in yous channels - e-mail list, facebook and board.
Thanks. For a while i worked in the administration of the fam club, today i am retired and act just a member.
