Long story short, Vader being beat up isn't always bad, but we've seen enough of it. Let's get more stories of Vader 'slaughtering' opponents like he was supposed to, and I also would very much enjoy more political rivalry. Happily, this is much of what Ghost Prison was about.

(And no more crap about the Emperor exaggerating Vader's reputation by saying he easily killed 50 jedi in purge. That was a step too far. Show him struggling in the fights? Fine. Tell me his legacy was based on rumors and propaganda? That's bantha poodoo.)

That said, the implication of the last page excluded, I immensely enjoyed the first Purge. I thought it was a good portrayal of an early-suit Vader.

That would take a book instead of a comic.

Sounds like a Traviss novel. "Now with 50% more office scenes!"

"Lord Vader, I wish to put on record...."
Vader lets the fool say his piece.
    10 minutes later...
"Lord Vader, I must state aga - agh.... akkk....."
Vader had lost count of the times some fool would insist on saying the same thing some five times in a meeting, not this time, not when he's chairing!

I can see him being uncomfortable on "bring your daughter to work day." A bit of a sore point with him.

Actually--Lord Vader on Valentine's Day. How does he cope with that?

That's how the whole choking thing started. Someone sent him an e-card.

    "I'm burning for you, Valentine!"

Begin with Vader prologue, end series with Vader game? If on par with Ghost Prison, I like. He should clean up the mess, wreck Dantooine personally and stand by smuggly as Tarkin looks the fool in Star Wars. Or something.

    My thought exactly. [face_mischief]

I can picture Vader hoping Tarkin would drive them to Dantooine, where he could step forward and go: "Too slow.":p

Technological terrors being nothing next to the power of the Force, and all that.

"Grand Moff Tarkin! Scouts report there is no life down there!"
"Are you sure? I took an awful risk coming out here."
"Sir, it appears there is a msg carved into the walls..."
    "Well, what does it say?"
    "D. VADER wuz here! lolz"
    ;)

Don't know how I missed this before, but yes.

This is the only reason I am enjoying playing TFU2: because there's a mod that lets you play as Vader the entire game. Being able to effortlessly crush things with the Force is very acceptable when it's Lord Vader doing it.

Also, by far the best thing to come out of that "digital molecular matter" business is Vader's cape physics. Not only does it swoosh (most games can do that), but when you die, it actually convincingly drapes over your corpse. It's fantastic.

I disagree. Just read a few issues of Ex Machina to see how politics can be handled cleverly (if a bit Aaron-Sorkin-ishly heavy-handedly) in a comic.

Some hybrid of that and a story of an older, savvier Vader learning the joys of imitating his master's machinations would be a dream come true for me.

Is Ex Machina about a superhero wanting to become the Mayor of NY?

That's the one. But it jumps back and forth between his superhero days and his actually being mayor.
