I think your thinking of Gregor 'The Mountain' Clegane. Sandor 'The Hound' Clegane is the one with the burnt face. And although both are... by most terms 'evil' Gregor is way more 'evil'.

Not sure who the one on the left is. Pycelle? Qyburn? Neither one really fits in that pic.

I'm going to say Qyburn considering Clegane(?) is at the back.

Also I'm re-reading ASoS and I'm loving the Red Viper all over again. He is awesome as Tyrion's champion! If only he knew his nephew by Elia was still alive. :(

I'm just getting started watching this series, having just recently added HBO to my premium channels list. Love the show!!! I'm on season two, episode 4 and have never read the books, altho that will be remedied. I'll come back when I'm all caught up. Season three looks to be awesome!

This is the thread for the books, so, yeah, I would definitely only come back once you've read all of them.

I don't know why anyone would think this is for the show, since "A Song of Ice and Fire" is only ever used to refer to the books. :p

So I have a question for everyone: which POV chapters do you hate/dread the most? For me the Iron Island chapters in A Feast for Crows were unbearable painful due to their irrelevance (IMO) to the real action and story.

Iron Islands and most of Davos' chapters.

Really? I loved Davos' POV, well except for in ACoK. In ASoS and ADwD he was one of my favourites. Interesting.

The Iron Islands chapters were so pointless. They began with Euron claiming the kingship, then there's a kingsmoot, and it ends with Euron keeping the kingship. Complete waste of text.

Some were interesting, as the story progressed. But at first he was this dried-up onion knight who was just kind of there. They were much better in ADwD but it took me a long while to warm up to him.
Except, everyone in the Battle of Blackwater was pretty spectacular, even Melisandre. And I hate her.

    I definitely agree.

I also started to get tired of Arya's chapters during AFFC and ADWD. Sometimes they were really interesting, but mostly I thought they meandered.

The Iron Islands, Arya and Dany's chapter in ADWD.

To be honest I don't care very much about the storyline anymore, but I really care for some of the characters and want to know how it all will end.

Bran's chapters were pretty good in ADWD and the latter part of ASOS, but yeah his chapters in the first two books were snoozefests.

I liked Bran's chapters when he was in Winterfell as well as when he was close to the Wall and Jon. The latest bits with the weird tree guy is kinda interesting, but yeah, when they were just traveling it got monotonous.

Oh, his ADWD chapters are far more interesting if you're current with the Dunk and Egg short stories.

    Just sayin'.

yeah but I read those AFTER ADWD [face_plain]

Those were good stories. Entertaining and a good tie-in.
