So. I just dug out a couple references and drew up Ooryl Qrygg. I plan to scan him in tomorrow. Where should we post our entries? He's going in my topic either way, but should we also post them here?

EDIT: I just reread the contest rules and now I feel like an idiot.

I referenced to a macro photograph of a jewel beetle for the mandibles and overall head structure. The beetle almost looked like it was smiling for the camera until I read that it was a photo of a "prepared (dead) specimen" from the photographer's collection. So, for Ooryl I used a dead beetle and the Japanese Rogue Squadron artwork.

This was the most fun I've ever had drawing up to this point. Jacen Solo was always one of my favorite characters growing up, thank you for this opportunity.

OH gotcha! my bad, on my computer his hair looks a little reddish making me instantly think Ben. However knowing this makes this concept that much more awesome!
