The last thing I put in my mouth was apple juice. And now I'm gonna treat myself to some marzipan covered cake. Unlike OZK, the outer layer covers the entire surface of the cake. However, I will be removing the marzipan covering in increments, as if performing a slow torturous circumcision on the improvised voodoo doll of OZK's wiener that is my cake slice. Have fun with that mental image, everyone.

 

I'm not actually gonna eat it like that. The marzipan is too sweet to eat on its own and the rest of the cake is not sweet enough without it. This is all coordinated, see? You can't savor the delicate balance of flavors when you separate the components like that.

Besides which, the marzipan had soaked up too much moisture from the cream underneath. It's texture had become more like a frosting. This cake was apparently a leper. If you weren't nauseous enough already, have fun with THAT mental image. You can't savor the victory over your now sheath-less opponents unless you can show the piled up spoils of battle to your king (1 Kings 18:25-27), and this was not possible with my specimen, so why bother?

Had a bowl of instant oatmeal a few hours ago. (I was hungry but not enough for a large meal). I'm about to go offline for the evening though and will be having a couple of adult beverages before bedtime.
