No, they're not spoilers. I'm only 60 pages into the book, but there's one passage in reference to Krystal Weedon that particularly stood out, that women in her family have tendency to die young, "as though they're fighting in a secret war that the world knows nothing about." That could easily be construed as an indirect, but specific reference to Harry Potter.

The other one that stuck out was the reference to Patricia Mollison, that she lives in London and is "rarely mentioned" by her parents. Disowned witch, perhaps?

i finally started reading the 'dark tower' series. i'm having a bit of a hard time getting into it, but i think that's mostly just adjusting to stephen king after spending the whole summer reading a song of ice and fire.

I love the Dark Tower series. My father, though, is near-obsessed with King's novels but can't get into DT or "Talisman" at all. In it for the horror, not the fantasy.

I read the first three Dark Tower novels last year and the fourth this year. Starting with Wizard And Glass, the page count increases significantly compared to the first three so I'm taking a longer break between them. I'm enjoying the series so far and I hope to start the fifth one by the end of this year and finish the series next year.

Finished This Book Is Full Of Spiders just now. David Wong, in his profane, disgusting, adolescent way, inspires something inside of me like no one else ever has.

I'm reading Dodger, too! What do you think?

I love Fforde and Thursday Next (though I'm waiting for the second quartet to be finished before I read it).

Jut finished Hope Solo's autobiography--Solo: A Memoir of Hope. Pretty typical sports biography, covers a lot of ground but doesn't go overly in depth to anything. That being said, Solo's definitely got a pretty interesting story and I enjoyed it.

Currently reading The Secret Race: Inside the World of the Tour de France by Tyler Hamilton. I highly recommend it to anyone interested in the Lance mess or bike racing in general.

Very enjoyable so far, it's somewhat dense, but still keeps interest.

I just happened across Hamilton on the Anderson Cooper show being interviewed about the book just now.

If anyone still believes Lance is innocent after hearing Hamilton...well, I guess there's nothing I can do to stop them.

I'm always reading several at once, but the one I want to finish next is Karen Traviss: Sacrifice (LotF). I'm also trying to continue Sherlock Holmes (the complete stories), but the book is so heavy than I can't take it anywhere.
