Dick Stockton constantly referring to prior Washington teams, as if the Nationals are a continuation of those franchises, is really getting on my nerves and needs to stop.

    Amazing.

yeah, dick stockton sounds like he should still be announcing 80's nba games. amazing turn of events just now, nonetheless.

edit: "all that does is affect a possible force play". yeah, because scoring two runs here wouldn't be better than scoring one.

edit2: and there it is. unbelievable.

Good grief, St. Louis! What a game. You've got to respect this effort.

Say Washington completes this loss, what's a worse choke? Washington in this game or Cincinnati's no show at home?

Considering how back when they shut down Strasberg, all the analysts gave the Nationals no hope of even reaching the post season, I'll go with the Reds.

Holy smokes! I cannot believe the Cards were down to their last strike AGAIN. As an aside, I actually liked Stockton calling the game. I'm not looking forward to listenting to Joe Buck again.

I'm annoyed that I'll be at a wedding reception on Sunday night, and thus will miss game 1 of the NLCS... sure, free food & booze, but I want my baseball! :p And I like Dick Stockton a lot, and I don't hate Joe Buck.

So the NLCS is 7 games in a row? That's got to be exhausting.

Dammit, in the absence of a personal interest I always barrack for the historically loser teams, so I'm annoyed the Nats are out. :(

I guess I shouldn't have ruled the Cards out so early last night. They move slightly ahead of the Giants on my cheering for list. In either case, I hope whomever wins the NLCS wins the World Series.

I wish the Nats had hung on. I'll begrudgingly root for the Cards the rest of the postseason.

The Yankees offense has been so putrid lately, that they had 3 separate innings (1, 2, & 6) with the bases loaded & couldn't score! And to show how much respect Jeter commands: A-Rod, Martin & Granderson all strike out in the 6th inning, each receiving heavy boo's after. Jeter struck out in his at bat in the 7th, and no boo's. And Delmon Young just put Detroit up 3-0 in the 8th... niiiiiiice.

Rauuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuul strikes again, tying this game up at 4-4 with a 2-run homer (Ichiro hit one earlier in the inning that got the Yankees going). Good grief. :p

You know, Jeter was said to be limping in Game 4 of the NLDS against the O's. I wonder if maybe there was a hairline/stress fracture in the ankle that everybody either missed/choose to over look because of the playoff situation and playing in the last two games worsened it to a full blown fracture?

ESPN, all Yankee's all the time. I can't even turn the channel on during baseball season.
