"Cat & Mouse" makes a way better bridge from AOTC & TCW than TCWM. It immediately made me watch the end of AOTC & C&M back to back :)

Cat and Mouse is just too awesome and that is why it bridges the things together better.

Not that awesome, since it didn't feature the space battle over Christophsis seen in TCW movie newsreel.

Wasn't that battle after Cat and Mouse?

There was almost no Space battle in the movie, just mentions of it.

I think the thing in the movie that is mentioned is just a regroup of the CIS forces.

Indeed. TCWM wasn't a good representation of this show's potential. I wish we could undo the movie. But yay for chronology!

It was shown in the newsreel of the movie, thus I expected it to be seen in Cat and Mouse.

It shows the arrival of the Republic fleet to Christophsis, with Anakin and Obi-Wan together.

Cat and Mouse is awesome, probably the episode I have rewatched the most.

At C6, I saw the S5 premiere, "Revival", and then a day or two later, the special screening of the Young Jedi 4-parter. Now, rewatching Revival on TV, Hondo's comment about Grievous taking over the system and wiping out Hondo's forces is a clear reference to the events of Young Jedi. So, assuming the 4 episodes (or the movie edit aired at C6) air on TV at some point, then there will still be some out of order episodes to come. Either Brothers/Revival/etc are airing earlier than they are set, or Young Jedi is airing later than it is set.

EDIT- the YJ/Rev relationship regarding Hondo's comments are confirmed in the episode trivia on sw.com.

EDIT 2- Apparently Adi is still on the council in A War on Two Fronts, which suggests it is the Maul arc that has been brought forward.

Is it true it showed the planet Ilum, an ancient droid from the beginning of the Jedi Order and some new Republic starship?

And also this is a little tricky. Why the hell did Anakin go back to his ship and then go fight his way back down?

Maybe someday we'll see the movie in episode-form, and these issues will be fixed.

This may be a bit of a stretch, but perhaps since he was running a mercy mission he had to return to his ship to restock on supplies and help escort the gunships to the surface.

So this whole issue is about how Anakin was on the ground by the end of "Cat and Mouse" and after that he is joined by Kenobi on the ground to deal with Ventress and Slick's betrayal. But then in the movie's newsreel we see them back in space flying around and in the movie itself they are back on the ground waiting for General Loathsom's forces...

I like your theory cause the Stealth ship was not that big in the first place so it is only natural to go back for seconds...
Obi-Wan is dealing with the Separatists after Trench's defeat and after the second supply run that is before the betrayal by Slick, Anakin joins Obi-Wan in a little cleaning up of enemy forces. Then after that cleaning up is done, they go down expecting all to go well with ammunition and supplies but Slick betrays them all and they are stranded with limited supplies.
Loathsom is approaching and then in the nick of time, new CIS battleships come and close off the entry points to Chsristophsis.
That is where Yoda comes in and talks to Yularen who is dealing with the newly reformed blockade. Once again proving the fact that CIS forces are like hydras - cut off one head, two more will takes its place.
Then Yoda sends Ahsoka in the supply ship that we even see in Onderon arc (not the same one but the same model). Obi-Wan and Anakin think that is supplies are here after all the issues with Slick but it is just Ahsoka.

Yeah, I like "Cat and Mouse" and "The Hidden Enemy", but despise "The Clone Wars movie". It did not work as a 98-minute film. Not at all. Unfortunately, that means when I watch the series through with the Saga (starting at Attack of the Clones :p), Ahsoka just kind of appears.

I second cwustudent in advocating a remake in episode format. Though I honestly don't like the way they just shoehorn Tatooine and Jabba into there. It feels like bad fan-fiction.

In a perfect world, TCW movie would introduce Ahsoka, but then follow the Malevolence arc, not Jabba. Sigh - yet one must accept reality.

I cut the Jabba the Hutt part of the movie out. Just Christophsis.

Uh. And it'd make so much sense too since Plo appears in that arc and he's the one who brought her to the temple (exposition and all that).

I swear, whoever decided to make that movie... the show is lucky I gave it a second chance, because I wasn't very pleased after leaving the cinema. It was only when "Rookies" came along that I saw it's potential. If it wasn't Star Wars, no other show would have had me stay that long in the hope it would improve.

After watching the first two and a half seasons and then the film, I found it hard to believe the film was so bad compared to the show. On rewatches, I believed it. :p

TCW is the only Star Wars film I never even attempted to watch.
