The thrill of seeing Paul is hearing a great chunk of The Beatles' back catalogue performed by someone who co-wrote it. Carry that weight, and all that. It's awesome, but unburdened by that I can understand why Ringo's show might have a sense of pure fun about it that Paul lacks.

Rolling Stones goof around playing snippets of Beatles songs.

I'd really love to see Paul in concert before he stops touring, even if it's nothing like it was decades ago.

He hasn't played in that part of the world in a while now, so I really hope it's back on his radar again. As soon as it is... [face_dancing]

Speaking of The Rolling Stones. They've finally gone insane. I read on Monday that they were going to play a couple of 50th anniversary concerts at the O2 Arena in London. Having seen them at the same venue in 2007, I got excited. Only, the tickets (even those way up high) were £406 each. [face_plain] So that's out.

God, John would hate the idea of a statue being erected to him at all, wouldn't he? And then it's something like THAT . . .

I don't know. He and Yoko did a film of John being "erected" once.

They're charging more because they're going to be playing their newer stuff that people have long been dying to hear in concert.

I think Paul, also got more of a boost post Beatles in the beginning that helped. They could still play the, oh here is the cute Beatle that you all love playing songs and touring girls. Go see him, buy his records, love him.

I think with John, if he hadn't taken his break from everything in the middle, he would have had as many good songs as Paul. With that though, I don't think he would have had the great songs and albums he did have by taking the time off.
